Objective

This program seeks to provide free consultancy services to those whose access to healthcare, particularly physical therapy (PT), are limited.
Under this faculty-led program, faculty and PT students work together to plan for and implement consultancy activities for various
populations. Aside from its service component, students are also trained on the consultation process of PT through this program.
The program was started in 2014. Since then, it has implemented a broad range of consultancy projects in collaboration with other health professionals and client groups. These projects include assessment of risks for occupational injury, education on workplace injury
prevention, training on caring for children with disabilities, education on assisting persons-with-disabilities (PWDs) in using public
transportation, education on joint protection and proper body mechanics, and promotion of health and physical activity to various populations.

Beneficiaries
The target beneficiaries of this program are those who have limited access to physical therapy, including but not limited to persons with disabilities, older persons, communities, schools, workers, agencies, and industries.

UP CAMP PT is a degree-granting unit. The basis for the creation of the program is to create an avenue wherein the faculty of the
Department can advocate for the PT profession and serve those who are in need of physical therapy services. The program also serves to train PT students in the collaboration process of physical therapy.
The Department is composed of 15 faculty members and an
administrative staff. About 10 faculty members plan and implement one consultancy project each per year.
