National Burn Care and Rehabilitation Conference

This conference is a means to disseminate information on the
multidisciplinary management of the care of burn victims, and creating awareness about rehabilitation issues post-burn. Conferences were held in cities outside of Manila, such as Cebu City, Davao City, and Naga City.

The burn care and rehabilitation conference is spearheaded by Dr.
Dorothy Dy Ching Bing-Agsaoay, through the support of PFP Philippines, Disability First Foundation, Inc., UP-PGH DRM, and PARM.
The UP-PGH Department of Rehabilitation Medicine (DRM) in partnership with the members of Philippine Academy of Rehabilitation Medicine, organizes medical missions to communities of PWDs.
Consultants, resident, and paramedical staff (e.g., physical therapists, occupational therapist, speech and language pathologists, and
psychologists) provide consultation and essential rehabilitation services to beneficiaries.
Disability First Foundation, Inc. is an accredited CPD (Continuing Professional Development program) provider for PT, OT, Nursing, and Medicine by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
Physician for Peace (PFP) Philippines is an affiliate of Physicians for Peace and has become a self-sustaining organization. The field office mobilizes a corps of local medical volunteers year-round to train others and advocates to help amputees walk again, give sight to the nearly blind and heal the emotional and physical scars of burn victims.
