R ice b ra n , in c o m b in a tio n w it h s h rim p he ad , has be en fo u n d to p r o m o te s ig n ific a n t g r o w th rates in th e a n im a l. In a d d itio n , i t p ro v id e s th e necessary f ib e r f o r b u lk in th e d i e t S o y b e a n , o n th e o th e r h a n d , c o n tr ib u te s s im ila r n u tr ie n ts a n d fib e r a n d m a y s u b s titu te f o r ric e b ra n . Chances f o r th e s h rim p t o fe e d o n th e p e lle t is m in im iz e d w h e n th e p e lle t is u n s ta b le . T h u s , th e search f o r a m o re c o m p a c t fe e d p e lle t has t o be c o n tin u e d .
