SUBJECT : OFFICIAL NOMINEES FOR THE NEXT U.P. PRESIDENT!

PUBLIC FORUM

At the deadline for the submission of nominations for the next UP President at 5 O'clock in the afternoon of 14 October 2022, this Office had received a total of six (6) nominations. On 19 October 2022, the Board of Regents, acting as the Search Committee for the next UP President, held a Special Meeting where it conducted a preliminary screening and evaluation of the nominees' qualifications and approved the nominations of the following as official candidates for the UP Presidency:

1. Dr. Patrick Alain T. Azanza 2. Atty. Salvador B. Belaro, Jr.

3. Atty. Angelo A. Jimenez 4. Dr. Fidel R. Nemenzo 5. Dr. Benito M. Pacheco 6. Dr. Fernando C. Sanchez, Jr.

The Board further announces that a Public Forum will be held at 1 o'clock in the afternoon of 11 November 2022 (Friday) at the Cine Adarna, UP Campus, Diliman, Quezon City, which shall also be live-streamed to all Constituent Units.

All nominees are expected to present their plans and programs and to respond to questions from the UP constituency. Further details of the mechanics of the public forum shall follow.

Please be guided accordingly.
