The UP Varsity Wellness Program, primarily implemented by UP Manila through its Philippine General Hospital, aims to provide free general health care services for the total wellness of athletes, and specialty care for injured athletes. Regent Guillermo seconded the proposal by Regent Farolan to include a clause in the resolution affirming the Board of Regents' commitment to maintaining the health of the trees around the campus and replanting and preserving the green spaces of the UP campuses. Regarding aggressive recruiting activities to identify potential outstanding athletes from around the country and outside the country, Dean Diaz said it is the responsibility of the coaches of the varsity teams to recruit players to their respective teams.
