The university staff included members of Kasetsart University's council, the university's administrative committee and staff from the university's academic outreach office. The selection is based on the following criteria: they must be employees of the university who are involved in the university's social engagement mission. Kasetsart University council and administrative committee; university staff associated with the university's social engagement mission; and leaders of selected local communities who have experience participating in academic outreach programs/activities provided by Kasetsart University.
The academic achievement opinion data provided by Kasetsart University and the university social engagement mission opinion data were averaged based on the given scores corresponding to the following rating scales.

The second group consisted of qualified individuals or specialists with knowledge, skills and experience, and involved in university social engagement, by supporting and connecting academic professors and university researchers to exchange the experiences and thoughts on university social engagement; .. 3) They are community leaders or the representatives who participated in the project of academic outreach by faculty, institution or university; 29 people in total or 46.05. The in-depth interviews covered the academic scope of Kasetsart University in Bangkhen (the headquarters), the Kamphaengsaen Campus in Nakhon Pathom, the Si Racha Campus in Chonburi and the Chalermphrakiate Sakon Nakhon Province Campus in Sakon Nakhon. In terms of clarifying a positioning statement within the university and the community, the results imply that there are 22 men (70.65%) of the 31 people on the university council committee and administrative committee, between the ages of 51 and 60, which makes it is the highest number. scoring based on the average age of 52 years, the youngest was 40 years old and the oldest 71 years old, 25 key informants (80.65%) graduated with a PhD and six with a master's degree (19.35%).
There were 29 group leaders or community representatives who had participated in an academic outreach of a faculty, institution or university.

The secondary symbol is the use of the letters K and U—the English abbreviation of Kasetsart University—across the horizontal line. The link between the university missions for social engagement and the enhancement of the uniqueness of Kasetsart University based on responses from key informants is promising. The development of the university missions for social engagement consists of four parts: 1) brainstorming and working together in partnership;. This refers to the 2nd aim of this study which aims to identify the type of Kasetsart University academic outreach to local communities and their connection with the university social engagement concept.
The 5th research goal was to find the approaches to develop the university mission for social engagement through academic outreach in local communities that makes it possible to strengthen Kasetsart University's uniqueness.
Discussion
This name influences the public perception of the university's unique character as an expert in agriculture. This means that the academic outreach mission to local communities is the university's responsibility towards the surrounding communities. The target customers who receive academic services from Kasetsart University can be classified as external customers of the university.
Results show that the quality of the graduates from Kasetsart University affects the image of the university.
