The populations and samples are the students in the 15 training experience schools of the 5th year students majoring in Thai language in 3 southern border provinces and 40 sections of first year students of Yala Rajabhat University who are using Melayu Patani dialect in daily life 10-15 person each sections and separately live in 3 southern border provinces. The findings showed the main obstacle of Melayu Patani dialect speakers are intonation and spelling tones in Thai language and final consonant sound. As the result, it effected when students speak or write. They will translate word by word and word order into sentences
identity who uses Melayu Patani dialect on the etiquette in using Thai language in Thai society. The acknowledgement of this research be able to design the pronunciation practice for students in 3 southern border provinces and to develop Thai language skills and enhance better understanding of living together in multicultural society as well.
