2.2 Graduating Students Evaluations (Exit Survey)

Date of Surveys: May 2019 Number of Participants: 60 Attached the EE Students Survey report on Evaluating the electrical engineering program.

For the purpose of continuous improvements of the electrical engineering program, the electrical engineering graduates were asked to fill the exit survey on evaluating the electrical engineering program.

This report details the responses of electrical engineering exit survey that were completed by the electrical engineering program graduates. A total of 8 questions were answered by the graduates as summarized below. The statistical analysis also is reported with the required diagrams. The survey analysis results show that 91 % of students are satisfied with the education that they got during the program. The weighted average is 4.6, which means that the degree of satisfaction is "Very High".

Recommendations

- Link the program alumni with all program activities through different workshops organized by the program

- Implement periodically the requirement of the labor market.

a. List most important recommendations for improvement, strengths and suggestions for improvement.

(e.g. Analysis of recommendations for improvement: Are recommendations valid and what action will be taken, those already taken, and/or other considerations?)

Evaluation of Alumni Survey results: Actions taken based on alumni survey

The overall survey results indicate that the 66.06 % of the alumni are satisfied with the level of the program preparation in the program learning outcomes

Regarding the level of importance of the program learning outcomes to the alumni's employment experiences, the level of satisfaction is 73.94 %

• Plan to increase the student's interests in the

graduation projects to focus in creating electrical engineering designs with considering of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors.

• Plan to increase student interests with lab

experiments and lab reports to teach student how to interpret the results and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions

• Plan to increase student awareness with the

importance to work effectively in team groups through labs and workshops.

• Plan sessions of professional counseling for

final year students.

• In addition, analysis of alumni survey results

will be discussed in the meeting of the advisory board of the college of engineering

Evaluation of employers Survey results:

The overall survey results indicate that the 79.68 % of the employer are satisfied with the employment qualities and abilities

Regarding the level of program preparation to your employment in the Program Learning Outcomes, the level of satisfaction is 73.75%, which means it is High.

Regarding The level of importance of these Learning Outcomes to your employment experience, the level of satisfaction is 69.17%, which means it is High.

Actions taken based on employer's survey

• Plan to encourage students to have small

projects in the theoretical courses in high levels.

• Plan to increase students concerns with

project management techniques in electrical systems and provide them with some practical examples.

• In addition, analysis of employer survey

results will be discussed in the meeting of the

advisory board of the college of engineering

At the departmental level, it was agreed that efforts towards periodic revision and improvement of the study plan, contents of courses, etc. should be sustained. This has been ongoing every semester. Moreover, currently, many laboratory equipment's have been procured and the contents of many labs offered were revised. Furthermore, employer survey results and analysis will be discussed in the fourth meeting of the College Advisory Board.
