The Performance of the Governmental Bodies on the Local Level

This study concentrates on identifying the relationship between the role being played by the regional councils, developing the governmental performance in local administrations &

if this role causes quality shifts which include good

governmental services that in reality are better for the citizens. It analyzes the number of different variables affecting the role of the regional council improving the governmental agencies, which are: Authorities of regional councils. Creating dedicated committee in the council. Creating techniques for discussing policies, plans and local budgets. Encourage citizen participation to improve local development. Some of these variable results show that: The authorities given to the regional councils are not sufficient &

require gradual

support. The specialties given to the regional council excel their financial, human &

technical capabilities .

The regional council lacks the ability to create

radical changes in the project priorities &

governmental programs .

It doesn’t

have an affective role in studying the economical feasibility of different projects. The interest of the council is strictly in short

&

medium term

planning. The actual role of the regional council doesn’t exceed the coordination phase between different sectors. The participation of the parents doesn’t play an affective role in bearing the burdens &

requirements of local

development.
