Al Ain University has achieved second place in the

“Emirati Talents” competition.

The British Council ranks Al Ain University as the “best accredited center for IELTS exams.”

The English Language Center at Al Ain University achieved the best performance at the level of the United Arab Emirates and the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, with its classification as a Diamond member and an accredited center for conducting “IELTS” exams at the university’s campuses in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, by the British Council’s Partnership Program.

These results come as a recognition of the overall efforts made by Al Ain University and, specifically, the English Language Center in offering IELTS exams at its Al Ain and Abu Dhabi campuses, adhering to the highest quality standards. These efforts include providing diverse exam dates to accommodate all applicants, ensuring smooth exam administration, and delivering quick results.

Al Ain University (AAU) has achieved second place in the “Emirati Talents”

competition organized by the University of Sharjah at the UAE level. The students participated in the competition with two projects supervised by the Deanship of Student Affairs. The first project was about innovating a tool to combat website defacement, while the second project involved creating a program for image analysis for people with disabilities. The

students were honored by the University of Sharjah.

On another note, Prof. Ghaleb Al-Refae, the AAU president, honored the winning students as an encouragement and appreciation for their outstanding efforts. He encouraged them to continue to strive for excellence, emphasizing that success and distinction enhance the student’s personality and drive them towards a bright future.

The Engineering Students Won the 3rd Place in Web3 and Blockchain Hackathon

Pharmacy students achieve advanced places in Universities Students Research Competition.

A team from the College of Engineering at Al Ain University (Abu Dhabi Campus) won the third place in Web3 and Blockchain Hackathon, which was hosted by Abu Dhabi University-CSIT department in collaboration with 5ire.

The third place went to the ‘DeliverChain’ project done by Abdul Aziz Razak Mujahid, Omar Al-Kendi, Mohammad Kanbari, and Mahadi Hassan,

supervised by Dr. Sahel Alouneh and Eng. Rima Masri.

Their project was about a blockchain technology food delivery app that uses the 5ire’s ecosystem to enable consumers to view untampered data about companies in the food industry.

Twelve teams from different universities in the UAE participated in this event, which provided an excellent opportunity for student.

Students from Al Ain University have achieved advanced positions in the university student research competition organized by Abu Dhabi University in its 10th edition. This competition is considered the largest student research competition in the Arab world and aims to enhance the potential and initiatives of scientific research among university students.

Pharmacy students from the Abu Dhabi campus achieved second place in the pharmaceutical sciences category. Zainab Abdulnasser, Danah Albek and Nour Dabbagh, under the supervision of Dr. Rose Ghemrawi and Ms. Aya Al Qassem, secured this achievement. Additionally, Ayah Ismail and Razan Mubarak, under the supervision of Dr. Zelal Jaber, obtained third place in the competition.

Al Ain University organizes the “Knowledge and Talent Market” to enhance the skills of school students.

Al Ain University Won the second place in the Interuniversity Football Champions Cup 2023

The Abu Dhabi Campus team of Al Ain University secured the second position in the Football Champions Cup, a university-level tournament in the UAE. The event took place at the Higher Colleges of Technology Stadium in Dubai and was witnessed by Prof. Amer Qasim, the Vice President of the University. The team’s impressive performance, comprising a series of matches in the knockout rounds, led to their qualification for the final. The coaching staff and players deserve credit for their hard work and dedication in achieving this feat.

The University management praised the team for their efforts and encouraged them to participate in both internal and external sports tournaments. Such events not only boost their athletic skills but also foster positive communication and collaboration among the players.

During a meeting with the team’s administrative staff, Prof. Amer Qasim acknowledged the players’ and coaches’ hard work and perseverance in previous competitions, including the 2023 football championship of the Abu Dhabi Universities Sports League.

The Student Affairs Deanship (Abu Dhabi campus) organized an initiative titled “Knowledge and Talent Market” for private school students in the secondary level, aiming to enhance the value of knowledge and talent among school students and provide an interactive environment that encourages learning and innovation.

The initiative included various theatrical performances presented by a group of school students, in the presence of Dr. Amer Qasim, Vice President of the University (Abu Dhabi campus), Dr. Nuha Hamada, Deputy Dean of Student Affairs, and several deputy deans. The Knowledge and Talent Market.

Al Ain University participates in the “Sustainable Development Forum” with outstanding researches.

Al Ain University participates in the Eighth Istanbul International Invention Fair (ISIF23)

Al Ain University participated in the Joint Sustainable Development Research Forum held by the University of the Emirates at its campus in Al Ain. The students presented their research findings followed by discussions and questions. The participating projects supported the goals of sustainable development related to life on land, quality education, clean water and sanitation, decent work, and economic growth, as well as other projects supporting common objectives.

Al Ain University (AAU) has participated in the 8th Istanbul International Invention Fair (ISIF23) with the project “Central Remote Control of Car Brakes”. Dr. Noha Hamada - Deputy Dean of Student Affairs and member of the academic staff from the College of Engineering at (Abu Dhabi Campus) was the representative of the AAU.

Dr. Noha Hamada’s project aims to achieve traffic safety and reduce

traffic accidents caused by bad weather, and the idea is to use advanced technology to allow central control from the Traffic Department to reduce the speed of drivers only gradually, as the idea is suitable to be implemented in smart cities by linking digital signals for speeds the car’s brakes are centrally controlled by the Traffic Department.

Law students had a field trip to the Federal National Council.

Student Visit to the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair

The College of Law at Al Ain University (Abu Dhabi campus) organized a student visit to the the Federal National Council in Abu Dhabi, under the supervision of Prof. Tayel Al-Shayab and Dr. Ahmed Fekry. The students attended a session discussing “The Impact of Legislation

Regulating Labor Market Activities on Economic Variables in the Country,” presented by Her Excellency Naema Al Mansouri, a member of the Federal National Council. They also watched an introductory film about the responsibilities and work of the Federal National Council.

The Deanship of Student Affairs - Abu Dhabi Campus, organized a visit to the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair for Al Ain University students.

Through this visit, students were introduced to the important cultural and artistic aspects available at the fair, which includes numerous

local and international publishing houses. This visit aims to encourage students to read and engage in cultural exchange, in addition to providing them with the opportunity to meet prominent authors participating in the fair.

Blood Donation Campaign Entitled “Renew Your Blood”

The Innovation Center Organizes a Lecture Entitled

“Intellectual Property”

The Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Small Business Development Center at Al Ain University (Abu Dhabi Campus) organized a lecture entitled Intellectual Property, Registering Patents, Intellectual Works and Trademarks.

The lecture was presented by Ms. Roya Al Junaibi, Takamul Program Officer from the Department of Economic Development, and an expert in the field of intellectual property. The lecture included an explanation of the main characteristics, rights, and legal aspects related to patents, industrial designs and trademarks, and how to register to obtain them.

The Red Crescent Student Club at the Deanship of Student Affairs at Al Ain University (Abu Dhabi Campus) organized a blood donation campaign under the slogan “Renew Your Blood” in cooperation with the Blood Bank Services - SEHA, as part of its continuous community service activities.

The campaign witnessed a remarkable turnout from members of the academic and administrative staff and students, in response to the campaign and its objectives, and their desire to support all forms of communication with the community and to provide possible humanitarian support.

In her turn, Dr. Nuha Hamada, Deputy Dean of Student Affairs, confirmed the university’s keenness to organize regular blood donation campaigns to ensure that it enhances its social responsibility, spreads its values aimed at communication and social solidarity, and encourages voluntary and charitable work.
