Al Ain University obtains “ABET” accreditation for the

“Computer Engineering” program

The “Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering” program received international accreditation from (ABET) in the United States, while the

“Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering” and “Bachelor of Science in Networks and Communication Engineering” programs have renewed their ABET accreditations.

Prof. Ghaleb El Refae (AAU President), stressed that, obtaining the accreditation comes because of the commitment of the College of Engineering to international academic standards, and it demonstrates the tireless efforts made by the academic members to achieve the desired goals of providing high-quality education to graduating outstanding and efficient engineers.

Dr. Nazih Khaddaj Mallat (Vice President for Accreditation and Quality Assurance), indicated that AAU is keen to renew the local and international accreditations for its programs periodically, and its continuous quest to obtain new accreditations, which enhances the university’s position and rank among the other universities.

In turn, Dr. Qutaiba Al-Thebyan (Dean of the College of Engineering), stressed on the college's keenness to provide the best educational programs for its students in line with the labor market, and to enhance the programs by obtaining international accreditations, which enhances their university degrees and ensures them access to suitable job opportunities.

It is noteworthy that AAU offers 6 bachelor's degree programs in the College of Engineering: Computer Engineering, Networks and Communication Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Cyber Security, and Civil Engineering.

ADDED honors Al Ain University’s innovation incubator An MOU between the College of Education at Al Ain University and the College of Arts at the Dresden University of Technology

The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) has honored the Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Small Business Development Center at Al Ain University (AAU) at the official launch of the “Abu Dhabi innovation incubators program”, launched by ADDED’s Competitiveness Office of Abu Dhabi (COAD) to support individuals wishing to turn their ideas into innovative commercial opportunities that,

in turn, will support a diversified, robust, smart, and sustainable economy.

H.E Sameh Al Qubaisi, Director General of Economic Affairs at ADDED and Ms. Hala Al Ameri, Executive Director of the Competitiveness Office of Abu Dhabi (COAD), presented a memento to Mrs. Lina Abu Libdeh - Director of the Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Small Business Development Center- on behalf of the AAU.

The College of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences at Al Ain University (AAU) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the College of Arts for Humanities and Social Sciences at the Dresden University of Technical in Germany to consolidate the bilateral cooperation relations between the two parties. The MOU was signed by Prof. Bruno Klein- Dean of the College of Arts- Dresden University of Applied Sciences, and Dr. Sana Ashour- Director of the Applied Sociology Program- at the College of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, on behalf of the College of Education at Al Ain University.

The MOU aims to enhance academic and cultural exchange in the fields of education and scientific research, encourage faculty visits to promote research and educational activities, cooperate to hold conferences and academic activities, publish joint research and exchange academic research publications and scientific information.

It also includes an agreement to facilitate student exchange by hosting qualified students for the purpose of enrolling in undergraduate and graduate programs.
