Japanese quail over 20 weeks of egg laying. A total of 3 generations of Japanese' quails obsen^
consisted of the original generation including 360 females and 120 males the fir-;! otlspnn;;
generation including 240 females and 80 males, and the second offspring generation includuig 120 females and 40 males. Binds were kept in individual cages, fed and given water ad libttiun ivith a diet consisting of 22".. crude protein with an ME of 2,900 kc.il, kg of feed. All results from the generations of la\'ing quails were calculated during a period of 20 weeks. The results shoived that Japanese quails' egg productivit\- gradually decreased from the original generation to the first and the second offspring generation at 12l':3, 126 6, 128:1 cgg/quail/20 wcvk-^ of laying egg respeclivelv. The number of inseminated eggs, ratio ot inseminated eggs, ratio of hatched eggs, shape ratio, and egg laving ratio of Japanese quails in the offspring generations wore higher than that of the onginal generation. Genetic selective efficicncv of the first offspring generation was improved by 5.3 eggs compared to the onginal generation, but genetic selectn e efficiency of tlie second offspnng generation was only 1.5 eggs compared to the first offspnng generation while their heritage coefficients were0.36 and l' 2S respectnely.
