SUMMARY:
Study some characteristics of general cognitive function on adult patients with epilepsy
Objective: describe and evaluate the genemi cognitive characteristics of the adult patients with epilepsy. Patients and method: MMSE (total scorn of 30 points) used to evaluate the genemi cognitive function, was done to 60 adult patients with epilepsy.
This study was conducted following cmssectlonal descriptive design. Results: them is no statistically diffemnt In tenvs of mean scorn of MMSE between two genders (p>0.05; male 26.3 ± 3.88; female 24.9 ± 2.91).Scorn of MMSE is mart<edly mduced tn patients using Gardenal and having fmquent selzums (p<0.05).
Conclusion: them is no statistically diffemnt in tenms of genemi cognitive function between two genders. Using Gardenal in long term can mduce genemi cognitive function. The mom fmquent the seizum is the more the cognitive function is mduced.
