Mr. Herzl Zuckerman

JNSCRIPTION Lr 1-HE GOLDEi\ DOOi"".

~fr. Herzl Zuckerman, "ho \Yas president of the Cape Zioni t Youth Executive for a number of years, as well as chairman of the Menorah Board of Control, has decided to settle in Palestine, and will be leaving South Africa at the beginning of July.

Since his childhood Mr. Zuckerman has been actively associated with Zionist work.

During the last few years he has played a very prominent part in the South African Zionist Youth Movement and has displayed great enthusiasm for and devotion to the Zionist Cause. Under his able guidance the Zionist Youth Movement in the Cape Province went from strength to strength, and he also played a prominent part at the South African Zionist Youth Conference in Bloemfontein, which saw the birth of the South African Zionist Youth Council and a number of other far-reaching changes.

There is no doubt that South African Zionism will lose a very capable worker, and that Palestine will be the gainer thereby.

As a mark of appreciation for the ser- vfoes rendered by Mr. Zuckerman, and in order to give expression to the esteem in which he is held by the Youth, the Cape Zionist Youth executive has decided to in- scribe his name in the Golden Book on the eve of his departure from South Africa.

A special Herzl Zuckerman Golden Book Inscription campaign has been launched.

and contributions of ls~ or more are being invited in order that as large a number of contributors as possible will be identified with the inscription.
