DIRECTIONS DATED 06 FEBRUARY 2013
The Chief Justice has issued the following directions:
1. The amicus curiae must file written argument on or before Monday 11 February 2013.
2. The written argument may not repeat any submissions made on behalf of any of the parties and must include:
(a) submissions on the relevance of its approach to customary law to the ultimate issue to be decided in the case;
(b) the legal basis for admission of its proposed “report on publications in the public domain” as part of the court record;
(c) a copy of the proposed report.
3. Written responses to the submissions of the amicus curiae, if any, must be filed by the parties on or before Friday, 15 February 2013.
4. The amicus curiae will be required to present brief oral argument, not exceeding 20 minutes, at the hearing on Thursday 21 February 2013.
5. Further directions may be issued.
