In most cases, survivors experience psychosocial problems such as depression, anger and isolation after floods due to climate change. Purpose: The purpose of the study was to determine the health effects of climate change in Ga-Mashamothane village, Fetakgomo Tubatse Municipality, South Africa. Climate change is a statistical distribution of weather patterns over decades that can lead to droughts and floods (National Climate Change Response White Paper, 2011).

In countries such as Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa, the health effects of climate change have been documented. In the Waterberg district of the Limpopo province, 43 cases of malaria have been recorded as a result of climate change (Department of Health, 2017). In the past two decades, several studies have been conducted to address the health effects of climate change in South Africa (Goodman, 2013; WHO, 2015; Mudau, Mukhola and Hunter, 2017).

The result of this study can contribute to public health knowledge about climate change. The aim of the study was to determine the health effects of climate change in the village of Ga-Mashamothane, Limpopo Province, South Africa. Assess the effects of climate change on the physical health of people in the village of Ga-Mashamothane.

Describe the effects of climate change on the psychological health of people in the village of Ga-Mashamothane.

The study further revealed that the majority of the survey respondents disagreed that they were traumatized after seeing people injured due to flood, while the majority of the survey respondents disagreed that they were traumatized after seeing people lose their lives due to flooding in the village. The survey results further revealed that the majority of survey respondents disagreed that they developed mood swings after seeing people get injured in the village.

Conclusions of the study

Is safe access to water and sanitation really affected due to climate change? - A cross-sectional study in the southwest coastal region of Bangladesh. Climate change and its effects on water resources: A case study in the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP). Research Study Title: Health Effects of Climate Change: A Case Study of Ga-Mashamothane Village at Fetakgomo Tubatse Municipality, Limpopo Province, South Africa.

The aim of the study is to determine the effects of climate change on health in the village of Ga-Mashamothane, Limpopo Province, South Africa. Outline of Procedures: The study will use probability sampling which involves simple random sampling. The study will use this sampling to give all participants an equal chance to be selected into the study.

Benefits: The researcher will ensure that the study is available at the University of Venda's library. Costs of the study: Participants are not expected to cover any costs in connection with the study. I request you to participate in the study entitled “Health Effects of Climate Change: A Study at Ga-Mashamothane Village, Fetakgomo Tubatse Municipality, Limpopo Province, South Africa.

The aim of the study is to determine the health impacts of climate change in the village of Ga-Mashamothane. Potential participants will be told that they are voluntarily participating in the study and if they are willing to withdraw from participating in the study, they are free to do so. I have had sufficient opportunity to ask questions and (of my own free will) to file a report. prepared to participate in the study.

This questionnaire seeks to determine health effects of climate change: A case study of Ga-Mashamothane village at Fetakgomo Tubatse Municipality in South Africa. The study is part of the research Master of Public Health at the University of Venda and it will contribute to public health knowledge. The study will make policy makers aware of the health effects of climate change so that when they change climate change policies they can refer to my study.
