NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION AS AN AMICUS CURIAE IN TERMS OF RULE 10(4)

TAKE NOTICE THAT the Psychological Society of South Africa ("PsySSA") applies

to this Court for an order in the following terms:

1. Admitting PsySSA as an amicus curiae;

2. In the event that PsySSA is admitted as an amicus curiae:

2.1. granting PsySSA leave to file written submissions; and

2.2. granting PsySSA leave to present oral argument at the hearing.

3. Further or alternative relief.

TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the affidavit of JUAN ADRIAAN NEL will be used in

support of this application.

TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that PsySSA has appointed the address of Webber Wentzel attorneys at 90 Rivonia Road, Sandton as the address at which it will accept notice and service of all process in these proceedings. PsySSA will also accept electronic service at the following email addresses:

[email protected] and [email protected].

TAKE NOTICE FURTHER that if you intend opposing this application, you are

required to:

a) notify PsySSA's attorneys in writing within 5 days of receipt of this application that you intend to do so;

b) appoint an address within 25 kilometres of the office of the Registrar at which you will accept notice and service of all documents in the proceedings; and

c) within 15 days of notifying PsySSA of your to oppose the application, lodge your answering affidavit, if any, together with any relevant documents, which may include supporting affidavits.

TAKE NOTICE FURTHER that if no notice of intention to oppose is given, the

Registrar will be requested to place the matter before the Chief Justice to be dealt with in terms of Rule 11(4)
