SOCIAL POLICY IN SOUTH AFRICA

Unemployment is one of the biggest challenges facing South Africa today, and youth in particular. The implementation of social reengineering in South Africa by the government is necessary as the country remains a product of the colonial and apartheid project of social engineering. This has been a fierce and united struggle for the emancipation of the African voice on the continent and in the world. This consciousness exists on the continent, in the diaspora and among many millions of other peoples of the world. These objectives are reflected in the property clause (section 25) of the new South African Constitution.

COMMENTARY
To achieve that level of freedom means that the country must have its resources in full control and ownership by the citizens rather than having economic power in the hands of former colonizing groups, which is neo-colonialism. The economy is completely under the control of the former settler-colonizers, while the colonized continue to function as administrators in that system with limited meaningful stakes in the economy. Protests and demonstrations against the political system are not desirable because they highlight weaknesses in the system.
The Marikana massacre in the North West mines and the cold-blooded killing of Andries Tatane in the Free State, all at the hands of the police, testify to neo-colonial tendencies. The real economy remains in the hands of the former colonizers who go further to cheat the system itself by confronting the former colonizers themselves who have priority with government tenders. It means, in the first place, imperialism landed on African shores with the support of the state from Europe.
Sowing Seeds of Neo-Colonialism Capital began in the 1980s with negotiations with the political liberation movement, especially with the African National Congress (ANC), to ensure that they focus on the exploitation of the economy and its people under a democratic government.
