Card · Afternoon in Aid of Medical Relief
On Wednesday, the 17th April, Mrs.
S. Furman chairman of the OHT- OZF~ Worn~n's Committee, ·is holding a card afternoon at her home, 2ti Central Street, Lower Houghton, in aid of urgent medical services for war victim:; to be distributed through the OZE i11stitutions of Lithuania.
The latter are literally saving, through their activities, the lives of thousands of destitute people, particu- larly children.
Those wishing to assist this cause by attending the card party are in- vited to communicate with the ORT- OZE office, or di1·ect with Mrs. Fur- man, phone 4:3-2826.

Mr. 'l'l'auneck is the conductor for the J ohannesbmx Symphony Society, which has contributed largely to tlH' cultural life of the city. As a con- ductor Mr. Trauneck has the powel' to inspire hii;: mu. icians with his own sincerity and enthusiasm.

A Variety Entertainment in Aid of War Relief Fund
A variety entertainment in aid of the War Relief Fund of the South African H.ed Cross Society is being staged by Miss Irene Cohn in the Je\v- ish Guild Memorial Hall, on Satur- day and Wednesday, April 6 and 10.
Miss Cohn's pupils will give mono- logues, dialogues and playlets, and will be assisted by the pupils of Miss f'oppy Frames lJancing School and musicians from Max Weinbren's Academy of Music.
