Sejalan dengan pertumbuhan pasar perawatan pesawat terbang dan kebutuhan untuk melayani pelanggan dengan berbagai tipe pesawat, maka GMF terus melakukan pengembangan kapabilitas dan kapasitas di hampir seluruh lini bisnis Perusahaan. Pengembangan yang berhasil dilakukan selama tahun 2016 adalah sebagai berikut:

Product Capability Development
Line Maintenance GMF telah memiliki kemampuan line maintenance
untuk pesawat narrow body tipe B737CL, B737NG, CRJ1000, ATR72, A320 serta pesawat wide body
tipe B747, A330, dan B777
GMF has the capability to conduct line maintenance for narrow body aircraft of type B737CL, B737NG, CRJ1000, ATR72, A320, and wide body aircraft of type B747, A330, and B777.
Base Maintenance 1. GMF telah berhasil mengembangkan
kemampuan base maintenance untuk pesawat
narrow body tipe B737NG, A320, CRJ1000, dan ATR72, menambahkan kapabilitas sebelumnya yang telah dimiliki yaitu B737CL. Untuk pesawat wide body telah berhasil dikembangkan kapabilitas untuk pesawat A330 dan B777 untuk menambah kapabilitas B747 yang telah ada.
2. Untuk penambahan kapasitas, telah dilakukan pembangunan Hangar 4 (Narrow body dan
Painting) dan konversi Hangar 3 dari Narrow body menjadi Wide body.
1. GMF succeeded in developing its capability of base maintenance for narrow body aircraft of type B737NG, A320, CRJ1000, and ATR72, adding to its previous capability, i.e. B737CL. The capability for wide-body aircraft is base maintenance of type A330 and B777, adding to its previous capability, i.e. B747.
2. For capacity addition, Hangar 4 is being constructed (Narrow body and painting), as well as Hangar 3 conversion from narrow body to wide body.
Component Maintenance
GMF melakukan penambahan kapabilitas perawatan component untuk tipe pesawat B737CL, B737NG, A320, CRJ1000, ATR72, B747, A330, dan B777, seperti:
1. Fast moving dan rotable component
2. Landing gear B737NG (Level 2)
3. NDT, Kalibrasi, CRIMI, Hi Removal
4. OEM Component Authorized Repair Station
5. Integrated Component Services B737NG
GMF added component maintenance capability for aircraft of type B737CL, B737NG, A320, CRJ1000, ATR72, B747, A330, and B777, such as:
1. Fast moving and rotable component 2. B737NG Landing gear (Level 2) 3. NDT, Calibration, CRIMI, Hi Removal 4. OEM Component Authorized Repair Station 5. B737NG Integrated Component Services
Engine and APU 1. Untuk menambah kapabilitas perawatan
engine CFM56-3 (untuk pesawat B737CL) yang sebelumnya telah dimiliki, GMF telah berhasil mengembangkan kemampuan perawatan engine CFM56-7B (untuk pesawat B737NG) hingga level modular
2. Untuk APU, GMF telah berhasil mengembangkan kapabilitas perawatan APU GTCP 131-9A/B untuk pesawat B737NG dan A320, serta APU GTCP 331-350 untuk pesawat A330
1. To add the capability of CFM56-3 engine maintenance (for B737CL aircraft) which is previously owned, GMF has succeeded in developing its capability to maintain engine CFM56-7B (for B737NG aircraft) to modular level
2. For APU, GMF has succeeded in developing its maintenance capability for APU GTCP 131- 9A/B for B737NG and A320 aircraft, as well as APU GTCP 331-350 for A330 aircraft
In line with the market growth in aircraft maintenance and the needs to serve customer with various airplane type, GMF continues to develop the capability and capacity in almost every Company’s business line. The development conducted throughout 2016 is as follows:

untuk Minor Modiication

Logistic & Bonded Services
GMF berhasil ditunjuk sebagai satu-satunya Pusat Logistik Berikat untuk industri aviasi di Indonesia
GMF was successfully appointed as the only Bonded Logistic Center for aviation industry in Indonesia
Beberapa pengembangan berhasil dilakukan oleh GMF selama tahun 2016. Namun, dalam pencapaiannya, terdapat beberapa kendala yang menyebabkan pencapaian kapabilitas tidak sesuai dengan target yang ditetapkan. Beberapa kendala tersebut diantaranya adalah sebagai berikut:
1. Perubahan tipe pesawat yang digunakan oleh GA yang merupakan dasar dalam rencana pengembangan kapabilitas,
2. Kemampuan inansial GMF dalam melakukan investasi. Saat ini investasi untuk pengembangan kapabilitas (baik nilai maupun skema pendanaan) masih dibatasi sesuai budget yang ada,
3. Pelaksanaan pengembangan kapabilitas memakan waktu lebih panjang dari yang direncanakan. Adapun upaya-upaya yang dilakukan untuk mengatasi kendala dan permasalahan tersebut antara lain: 1. Meningkatkan koordinasi dengan GA Group terkait
rencana penggunaan tipe pesawat baru,
2. Alignment strategi Perusahaan dengan pengembangan capability and capacity dan pendanaan yang dibutuhkan,
3. Pemetaan kebutuhan bisnis GMF sebagai masukan dalam pengambilan keputusan strategis terkait pengembangan kapabilitas dan kapasitas, 4. Controlling dan monitoring implementasi secara
berkala.
GMF successfully carried out those developments in 2016. However, in achieving that, there were some obstacles that made the capabilities achievement not in line with the predetermined target. Some of the obstacles are as follow:
1. Change of aircraft type by GA which is the basic in capability development plan,
2. GMF inancial capability in investing. Currently, the
investment for capability development (be it value or funding scheme) is still limited to the available budget,
3. Execution of capability development took more time than planned.
The efforts to overcome the obstacles and problems are as follow:
1. Improving coordination with GA Group related to the utilization plan of new type of aircraft,
2. Aligning Company’s strategy with the capability and capacity development, with the funding needed,
3. Mapping of GMF business needs as input in making strategic decision related to capability and capacity development,
4. Controlling and monitoring of the implementation periodically.
