7.2. Saran
1. Diperlukan penelitian lanjutan dengan besar sampel yang berimbang antara berbagai kelompok penyakit.
2. Diperlukan penelitian lanjutan berupa uji validitas, reliabilitas, dan item
analysis kuesioner NEI-VFQ 25, termasuk kesesuaian dengan situasi dan
kondisi setempat pada saat penelitian berlangsung.
3. Pada penderita gangguan penglihatan berat diperlukan tindakan yang bersifat preventif, kuratif dan rehabilitatif untuk mencegah kebutaan karena penurunan kualitas hidup berbanding lurus dengan buruknya tajam penglihatan.

STUDI VALIDASI DATA KEBUTAAN HASIL RISKESDAS 2013 DAN IDENTIFIKASI ETIOLOGINYA
Penjelasan Singkat Penelitian:
Penelitian ini melibatkan sejumlah responden yang mengalami gangguan penglihatan berat dan atau kebutaan. Pada penelitan ini akan dilakukan beberapa pemeriksaan spesialistik pada kedua mata responden yang meliputi pemeriksaan: tajam penglihatan, tekanan bola mata, struktur anatomi mata dengan menggunakan alat yang sesuai. Responden juga akan diminta menjawab pertanyaan yang berhubungan dengan riwayat gangguan penglihatan yang dialaminya. Pada akhir penelitian, akan diketahui penyebab gangguan penglihatan berat atau kebutaan pada responden dan bila diperlukan kepada responden akan diberikan surat rujukan untuk penatalaksanaan lebih lanjut di fasilitas pelayanan kesehatan (fasyankes) yang ditunjuk.
