6.2. Saran

Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diberikan beberapa saran terhadap pihak rumah sakit, pendidikan keperawatan, dan penelitian keperawatan. Pengkajian secara holistik diperlukan tidak hanya bagi penderita stroke, tetapi juga untuk caregiver. Perawat harus menyediakan bahan ajar cara merawat penderita stroke selama di rumah sakit, dimana keterampilan dan kemampuan caregiver dapat diobservasi. Perencanaan pulang individual yang berpusat pada keluarga daripada pendekatan berpusat pada penderita stroke.

Sebelum keluar rumah sakit, dan untuk meminimalkan konsekuensi pengasuhan yang merugikan, perawat harus lebih mempersiapkan anggota keluarga untuk mengatasi beberapa situasi pengasuhan yang membuat stres. Selain itu, peran perawat sebagai edukator khususnya pada pasien stroke dan caregiver juga perlu diaplikasikan oleh mahasiswa dalam menerapkan ilmunya

agar melakukan asuhan keperawatan pada penderita stroke dengan melibatkan caregiver juga. Sehingga akhirnya akan melatih caregiver dalam merawat penderita stroke di rumah setelah keluar dari rumah sakit. Perawat dapat merekomendasikan situs internet caregiving khusus untuk memungkinkan caregiver untuk mengakses informasi yang dapat dipercaya tentang pasien prosedur rumah-peduli stroke.
