Requirements for a Pass.
Two written papers shall be set and subject as hereinafter provided, there shall also be a viva vooe examination in each section, The maximum marks obtainable for each section shall be as follows:-

100 100 A candidate who obtains less than 120 marks out of 200 in the two written papers will not be eligible for the viva voce examinations. For a pass, a candidate must obtain not less than 120 marks out of the 200 in the viva voce examinations as well as not less than 120 marks out of the 200 in the written papers.
Candidates should have a practical knowledge of sheep, pig, poultry or cattle husbandry respectively, as the case may be, and those candidates who pass in the written test may have in their viva voce examination a test in the field for practical work.
Subjects of Examination.
The subjects of examination shall be-
The breeds and breeding of sheep, pigs, poultry, or cattle as the case may be.
The principles and application of management and production and the economics of the respective livestock industry.
The nutritive requirements of the respective animal including a know- ledge of pasture crops and fodders used for feeding.
Elementary anatomy and physiology of sheep, pigs, poultry or cattle, respectively, as the case may be.
The causes, clinical symptoms and control measures of diseases common to such animal together with post mortem appearances of such diseased anim.al.
The life cycles and pathogenic importance of internal and external parasites of such animal, together with treatment and control measures.
The provisions of ''The Stock Acts, 1915 to 1954,'' or any Act amend- ing or in substitution for the said Act and the Regulations there- under, and in pigs and poultry the provisions of ''The Pig Industry Act of 1933,'' or any Act amending or in substitution therefor and the R-egulations thereunder, and of ''The Poult1·y Ind1tstry Acts, 1946 to 1950,'' or any Act amending or in substitu- tion for the said Acts and the Regulations thereunder, respectively, as the case may be.

products. The standard required in this subject is higher than that required in the examinations for the certificates of competency in milk and cream testing alild grading under ''The Dairy Produce Acts, 1920 to 1952. ''
Elementary dairy bacteriology and dairy chemistry.
General dairying, em bracing-
Milk composition and secretion, and factors which in:ftuence same.
Milk and cream production, dairy hygiene, and dairy farm routine.
Layout and equipment of milking sheds and dairy farm buildings and adjuncts.
Care and operation of farm dairy machinery.
Dairy cattle breeds and breeding.
Care and management of dairy cattle.
Herd testing.
Common ailments of dairy cattle.
Dairy manufactures, &c., embracing- Buttermaking.
Cheesemaking,
Handling, pasteurisation, and treatment of milk for the liquid milk trade.
Elementary knowledge of other dairy products.
The provisions of "The Dairy Produce Acts, 1920 to 1952," or any Act amending or in substitution for the said Acts and the Regulations thereunder.

The application of the principles of Entomology and Plant Pathology in the control of pests and diseases of fruit and vegetable crops and identification of pests and diseases affecting produce offered for sale.
The horticultural districts of Queensland, the main centres of produc- tion, the types, varieties and culture of commercial fruit and vegetables and methods of harvesting, packaging and marketing.
