New QCE system resources for Years 10 and 11 students and parents/carers
Purpose
To inform schools about:
• the myQCE website for students in the new Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) system
• new hard copy resources to be distributed to Years 10 and 11 students and their parents
• student learning accounts.
Information
Resources
To support implementation and raise awareness of the new QCE system, the QCAA has developed a new student-focused website and resources.
The myQCE website (https://myqce.qcaa.qld.edu.au) is designed to help students plan their pathway to achieving a QCE by the end of Year 12, and explore further study, training and career options.
The new hard copy resources to be distributed to school communities are:
• myQCE posters
• myQCE postcards
• a brochure about the new QCE system, with an enclosed letter from the Minister for Education and Minister for Industrial Relations, for parents of students in Years 10 and 11.
Learning accounts
Learning accounts for Years 10 and 11 students in the new QCE system will be available via the myQCE website from Term 3, 2019.
Learning accounts for current Year 12 students are still accessed via the Student Connect website (https://studentconnect.qcaa.qld.edu.au).
