The Board has met in September to discuss important issues that affect all members, these are detailed on the Board Meeting Update Page.
The Healesville Bowling Club Opening Day was held on Sunday the 25th September with mem- bers enjoying the day, some good bowling and selection of food the highlights of the day.
Thankyou to all those involved and welcome to the new season.
The new Pennant season is about to begin and it has been pleasing to see the number of members taking advantage of the practice matches made available, it looks like a great season ahead for all involved. Thankyou for the work undertaken so far by our committees.
Welcome to all our new members for the coming season, we look forward to many years of your involvement in the Healesville Bowling Club.
There are a number of social and private events coming up, many hands make light work so please offer your assistance to Effie Leban when the need arises, these functions are a great link for the club to its community.
With the season opening comes opportunities for social bowling and club championships so check the boards and lists around the club and get involved.
On a sad note we notify the membership of the resignation of our Chairman Bob Brown, Bob has been a long standing member over many years who has put a lot of his time and energy into the club. We wish Bob all the best and thank him for his time as Chairman and Bar Manager.
We hope to see you on the green this season Bob and good health to you.
That’s all for this month, good luck to all those competing this season.

Board Meeting Update September 2017
Well its only the grand final weekend to go and then we are underway for season 2017/18.
We have played three practice games preseason and have gained a lot of positives; a good perfor- mance against Yarra Glen and a very competitive performance at Warburton. A quickly arranged game at Croydon gave us a good look into how we are rolling at this early stage of the
season; these games have given us a great opportunity to try team combinations and look at all the new players in game situations.
I personally thanked each club for allowing us to play a practice match against them
with all clubs having division 1 teams; I myself found it very rewarding to play against better bowlers and all clubs where very welcoming especially Warburton.
Tuesday and Thursday Afternoon training is being well attended and will run through the season with different formats and skills worked on each week.
I wish all bowlers the best for the upcoming season and remember the little circle goes to the in- side
