1.verb+ ing
Taking the money, I came back to my mother.
and
I took the money and came back to my mother.
since, as ,when

The weather was cold and we returned from the playground.

3. Because
of+possessive+verb+
ing
Because of his being poor , he could not buy a costly gift.
and/and so/and therefore He was poor and so
could not buy a costly gift.

4. In spite of
/despite+possessive+ver b+ing
In spite of his running fast , he could not win the race/
but
He ran fast, but could not win the race.
though/although
Though he ran fast, he could not win the race.
5. Without +gerund Without doing, you will/may die.
Or
Do or die.
If(neg)/unless
If you do not do ,you will/may die./ Unless you do, you will/may die.
6. by+ gerund
By doing, you will/may die.
And
Do and die.
If
If you do ,you will/may die.
7.To + verb 1
The boy came to the city to earn money.
And so
The boy wanted to earn money and so came to the city.
So that
The boy came to the city so that he could earn money.

8. too+adj.+to+verb 1 The box is too heavy for me to carry.
And
The box is very heavy for me and I cannot carry (it).
So… … that
The box is so heavy for me that I cannot carry (it).

When

Health is wealth.

Remember
To Transform into Simple Sentence:
a)Use non-finite verb
b)Don’t use any conjunction.
c)Always maintain the meaning of the given sentence To Transform into Compound Sentences:
a)Use coordinating conjunctions like and/but/or/and/so/and then b)Use separate subjects and verbs for each clause
