The department's academic committee forms the examination committee for each group of students for one year, i.e. two semesters. The data controller's office sends a copy to the chairman of the department for safekeeping. Minimum GP 2.00 in each 4-credit course and GPA 2.00 in the eight 1-credit courses combined will be required for award of the B.A.

The GPA of the eight 1-credit courses will be calculated only after the final exam in the 8th semester (4th year) by adding the numerical grades obtained in all 8 semesters and dividing the total by 2. In case of re-admission, all the grades obtained before in four credit and one credit course of each semester/semesters will be cancelled.

Distribution of Courses

The list will contain the names and details of students who have a CGPA of 3.85 and above but below 4.00 in the B.A.Honours examination. The list will contain the name of the student who has the highest CGPA among students who obtained a CGPA of 3.60 and above but below 3.85 in the B.A.Honours examination for a particular session of any department that has no one who qualifies for a or b. Any major changes to the above rules will require the consent of a meeting of the Faculty of Arts and the Scientific Council of the University.
