ABSTRACT
The title of this research is "An Analysis of Capital Market Development
Influence On 1989·- 2002 Gross Domestic Capital Shape". In which capital market
has useful function to the development of Indonesian economic growth development,
in this case, capital market influences Gross Domestic Capital Shape (PMDB). This
is possible, since capital market is as a post that can collect long-term fund supply
from society in order to transferred to productive sectors. Some of variables to be

are IHSG, Market Capitalistic Value, Share Trade Volume, and Rate
Exchange, also analyzes how their relation to PMDB is. Analysis model used in this
research is multiple linear regression, in addition to know about relation between
capital market development with PMDB also used simple correlation model.
From analysis results using SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solution) can
be known that IHSG (XI) has negative influence to PMDB with percentage for
0,11%. Market Capitalistic Value (X2) has positive influence to PMDB for 0,52%,
Share Trade Volume (X3) has positive influence
to
PMDB for 0,19%, and Rate of
Exchange (X4)
has
negative influence to PMDB for 0,57%. Examination R
2=0,865
or R
2 =86% means that PMDB can
be
explained by IHSG, Market Capitalistic
Value, Share Trade Volume, and Rate of Exchange variables, while the remaining for
14% is clarified by another variables in which not included in model estimation.
In relation with simple correlation, it is obtained results that IHSG (Xl ), Market
Capitalistic Value (X2), Share Trade Volume

variables have strong correlation
with PMDB variable, which each of them for Xl

while Rate of Exchange (X4) has weak correlation to PMDB showedby computation
result for 0,193.
As
such, capital market development
has
a role in giving
contribution to Indonesian economy development through Gross Domestic Capital
Shape (PMDB).
