PERSEPSI WARGA SEKOLAH DAN INSTANSI TERKAIT TERHADAP SEKOLAH BERWAWASAN LINGKUNGAN TINGKAT SMA NEGERI
DI KABUPATEN NIAS BARAT
(Studi Kasus di SMA Negeri 1 Sirombu dan SMA Negeri 2 Mandrehe)
ABSTRAK
Sekolah yang berwawasan lingkungan tidak hanya dalam arti fisik tetapi juga pola pikir serta kepedulian dan tindakan warga sekolah terhadap lingkungannya. Program sekolah berwawasan lingkungan adalah pemahaman dan kesadaran warga sekolah akan lingkungan sehingga apa yang dilakukan disekolah terbawa sampai akhir hayat. Lingkungan sekolah yang bersih dan sehat juga mencerminkan keberadaan warga sekolah yang ada mulai dari siswa, guru, staf, karyawan, unsur pimpinan sekolah bahkan sampai orang tua siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis persepsi warga sekolah terhadap sekolah berwawasan lingkungan dan menganalisis upaya yang telah dilakukan oleh stakeholder Dinas terkait di Nias Barat dalam mengimplementasikan sekolah berwawasan lingkungan. Dengan metodologi deskriptif, penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA yang terdapat di Kabupaten Nias Barat yaitu SMA Negeri 1 Sirombu dan SMA Negeri 2 Mandrehe. Interpretasi dilakukan dengan uji statistik uji beda Mann-Whitney U guna mencari perbedaan persepsi SMA Negeri 1 Sirombu dan SMA Negeri 2 Mandrehe. Dari hasil analisis diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa persepsi warga sekolah antara SMA Negeri 1 Sirombu cenderung lebih baik dibandingkan dengan SMA Negeri 2 Mandrehe terhadap sekolah berwawasan lingkugan dan belum ada upaya/tindakan dari Dinas Pendidikan dan Dinas Perumahan Rakyat, Kawasan Permukiman dan Lingkungan Hidup terkait dengan sekolah berwawasan lingkungan.

THE PERCEPTION OF SCHOOL AND AGENCY RESIDENTS ON ENVIRONMENTAL-BASED SCHOOLS AT THE LEVEL OF PUBLIC
SENIOR HIGH SCHOOLS IN NIAS BARAT REGENCY
(A Case Study at SMA Negeri 1 Sirombu and SMA Negeri 2 Mandrehe)
ABSTRACT
Environment Based School not only means in term of physical meaning but also in term of mindset, attention and behavior of school society toward the environment. Environment Based School program can be defined as the understanding and awareness of school society against the environment so that everything has been done at school can be carried away until the end of life. Clean and healthy school environment also reflect the existing school society from teachers, students, employees, school leader element and even students’ guardians or parents. This study is aimed to analyze the perception of school society toward Environment based School and the effort that have been done by the relevant stakeholders in Nias Barat in implementing Environment Based School. This study was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Sirombu and SMA Negeri 1 Mandrehe, both in Nias Barat district, by using descriptive methodology. Interpretation was done statistically by using the Mann-Whitney U test to find out the difference of perception between SMA Negeri 1 Sirombu and SMA Negeri 1 Mandrehe. From the analysis, it can be concluded that school society perception toward Environment Based School of SMA Negeri 1 Sirombu tend to be better compared to SMA Negeri 1 Mandrehe and there is no effort/action from Department of Education and Department of Public Housing, Residential and Environments related to Environment Based School.
