1. Introduction
Tracer Study is a service provided by higher education institutions to track alumni who have graduated, which can later be used as an accreditation assessment of graduates aimed at knowing the output of education in the form of a transition from the world of education to the world of work. The Directorate of Higher Education is currently initiating a complication of the National tracer study data, especially regarding the transition and job positions of Higher Education graduates in Indonesia. Tracerstudy at Serambi Mekkah University is considered important because it is a tool for evaluating university performance and is used as an assessment by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT). The online tracer study has been implemented by the Directorate of
Higher Education since 2011, but not all tertiary institutions have implemented an online tracer study system.
The Tracer Study of Serambi Mekkah University is aimed at tracing the tracks of graduates/alumni which is carried out 2 years after graduation and aims to find out, educational outcomes in the form of the first job search process, the last work situation and competency application in the world of work in accordance with the skills that have been obtained, the output of education is self-assessment of the mastery and acquisition of competence, the educational process is in the form of evaluation of the learning process and the contribution of higher education to the acquisition of competence. Alumni tracking has been carried out by universities through a website-based application with the address http://tracerstudy.serambimekkah.ac.id. The purpose of this research from the results of observations still has many shortcomings, including the use of functions in applications that have not gone well as graduate users and as a solution in this study to develop Android-based mobile applications. The method in this study uses the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) which is written on the development from the website system to the mobile application.
By using the firebase and Android platforms, it is hoped that the development of mobile-based applications will make it easier for graduate users to fill in tracer study data.
