Program pendidikan

dasar

yang

terus

digalakkan

oleh

pemerintah nampaknya

membuat

partisipasi

masyarakat dalam dunia

pendidikan

semakin

meningkat setiap

tahun-nya. Hal ini dapat dilihat

dari makin

meningkat-nya jumlah murid di

setiap jenjang jenjang

pendidikan. Dapat dilihat

pada tabel 4.1.1 sampai

dengan tabel 4.5.5.

dilihat dari banyaknya

sarana peribadatan. Pada

tahun 2011 Kementrian

Agama Kota Parepare

mencatat adanya 121

bangunan

masjid,

17 bangunan gereja, dan 4

bangunan vihara. Hal

lain yang dapat dijadikan

indikator

tingkat

ketaqwaan umat adalah

banyaknya

jumlah

jemaah

haji

yang

diberangkatkan ke tanah

suci.

Selama

periode
