PENERAPAN PROJECT BASED LEARNING PADA PEMBELAJARAN IKATAN KIMIA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan: (1)kemampuan berpikir kritis yang signifikan antara peserta didik yang mengikuti pembelajaran berbasis project based learning dengan yang mengikuti pembelajaran tanpa berbasis project based learning, (2) prestasi belajar kimia yang signifikan antara peserta didik yang mengikuti pembelajaran berbasis project based learning dan yang mengikuti pembelajaran tanpa berbasis project based learning, dan (3) kemampuan berpikir kritis dan prestasi belajar kimia yang signifikan antara peserta didik yang mengikuti pembelajaran berbasis project based learning dan yang mengikuti pembelajaran tanpa berbasis project based learning, jika pengetahuan awal dikendalikan secara statistik.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan desain dua faktor, dua sampel dan satu kovariabel. Populasi penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas X SMA N 1 Kota Mungkid tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 dengan jumlah populasi 130 peserta didik. Sampel penelitian terdiri dua kelas yaitu kelas eksperimen (X MIA 1) dan kelas kontrol (X MIA 3) yang diambil secara purposive sampling. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini adalah pengetahuan awal, kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan prestasi belajar kimia peserta didik yang dianalisis dengan uji mancova.

THE IMPLEMENTATION OF PROJECT BASED LEARNING IN THE CHEMICAL BONDING TO IMPROVED THE STUDENT’S CRITICAL
THINKING AND LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT X GRADE OF SMA N 1 KOTA MUNGKID OF ACADEMIC YEAR 2014/2015

This study aimed to determine the differences: (1) a significant critical thinking skills among students with and without project based learning (2) a significant chemistry learning achievement among students with and without project based learning, and (3) a significant of the ability critical thinking and learning achievement among students with and without the project based learning, when initial knowledge is controlled statistically.
This study was an experimental study design with two factors, two samples and the covariates. The population in this study were students of class X SMA N 1 Kota Mungkid academic year 2014/2015 with a total population of 130 students. Sample consisted of two classes, experiment class (X MIA 1) and the control class (X MIA 3) which were taken in purposive sampling. The data obtained in this study were initial knowledge, critical thinking, and the student’s achievement which were analyzed with mancova test.
Based on the research and the data analysis, it can be concluded that: (1) There is significant difference between the critical thinking of students with and without project based learning, (2) There is no significant difference between learning achievement of students with and without project based learning, and (3) There is significant difference between critical thinking and learning achievements of students with and without project based learning.
