Melakukan penelitian dengan judul “Konsep Diri Anak Panti Asuhan Tambatan Hati Yang Bersekolah Di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Kota Bandung”. Sebagai pembimbing utama Dr. Evi Novianti, S.sos.,M.Si., dan pembimbing pendamping Aat Ruchiat Nugraha, S.sos., M.Si.
Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah melihat komunikasi yang dilakukan oleh anak panti asuhan Tambatan Hati dari konsep diri yang mereka miliki dan melakukan interaksi dengan orang lain. Bagai mana anak panti asuhan merubah pandangan orang mengenai identitas dirinya sebagai anak panti asuhan.
Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui bagaimana anak panti asuhan dalam memainkan perannya di panggung depan yang dianggap formal, dan panggung belakang tempat mempersiapkan perannya di panggung depan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Fenomenologi dengan pendekatan Dramaturgi. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik wawancara mendalam pada subjek penelitian dan melakukan observasi di panti asuhan Tambatan Hati kota Bandung.

The background of this research is seen the communication mode by the orphans of Tambatan Hati in self - concept they have interaction with others.
The Purpose of this research is to know how the orphans played its role in front of stage considered to be formal and back stage preparation of its role in front of stage. The method used of this research is phenomology dramaturgical approach. the obtaining documents used of this research is in - depth interview techniques to the subject of observation and also conducting observation in Tambatan Hati Orphanage Bandung.
Based on the observation of this study, in hence of conclution that a school for the orphans Tambatan Hati represent the front stage were they keep as formal to maintain the good name of the orphanage it self, and to represent the back stage where they preparation they role in front of stage. Based on the result, the orphans have difference self - concept made, they view them selves positively and negatively through other's view of them selves. Self - concept affects the way of the orphans communicates, the orphans which have positive self - concept view them selves and their environment in positive way, the status of the orphans is not an obstacle in achieving performance in school as their front stage. For those wh have the negative way in communicate tend to close, feeling in adequacy and inferiority.
