Report of performance audit results of state budget funds use, allocated for measures to protect, use and reconstitute forest resources in Odesa, Mykolaiv
and Kherson regions of Ukraine
Audit was conducted during March–July 2014.
Audit object: State Agency for Forest Resources of Ukraine, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Kherson Regional Departments of Forest and Hunting Sectors, Public Enterprises (in Odesa, Mykolaiv and Kherson Regions).
Main outcomes: measures of the State Program "Forests of Ukraine" and the relevant local programs in specified by them amounts in Odesa, Mykolayiv and Kherson Regions due to a lack of legal and financial support were not fulfilled. Expanded reproduction of forests in these regions is not provided. Full and proper care for existing forest plantations were not provided either.
Forest land area affected by pests and diseases through small annual funding and implementation of measures to combat them is growing.
