The Obstacles of Learning Speaking Skills for the Staff of the Children
Development Program GSJA Tuntang

Abstract
It is important for adults to learn English. Several adult learners are asked to learn English especially the speaking skills to support their job. Unfortunately, adult learners often face obstacles in learning speaking skills. This study attempted to find out the main obstacles of the staffs of the Children Development Program in GSJA Tuntang in learning speaking skills. The researcher collected the data from semi-structure interviews with seven adult learners who work in Children Development Program. From the data analysis, it was identified that the adult learners in Children Development Program had several obstacles in learning speaking skills. The obstacles were related to age, socio-cultural and affective factors. However, those obstacles are part of processes in learning speaking skills.
