In this course, we are more concerning in practicing a simple conversation that can be used in daily activities. We will have “Training
for the New Employee in the Office” as the theme of today’s lesson. There will be some
dialogues that we will be practicing, and followed by question and answer sections.
Materials Today's Lesson
Yulia : Good morning, Diana. How are you?
Diana: Good morning, Yulia. I am very well. Thank you. And what about
you?
Yulia : I am just fine. Thank you. You look so busy this morning. I think you have a lot of work to do.
Diana : Not really, I am just preparing the training material for my
replacement.
Yulia : Do you mean that you will resign?
Diana : No. I was told by Mr. Hansens, the Human Resources Manager that I would be transferred to the Human Resources Department.
Diana is busy preparing the training material

replacement. On that moment she
met Yulia who
thinks that she
wants to resign
from the office.
Yulia : When will you start your day at the new post at the Human
Resources Department?
Diana : Actually I should have started early this week. But Mr. Anwar, my direct superior, asked me to help him train the new staff of my replacement for a few days.
Yulia : What about Santy, your colleague? Will she also be transferred to another section?
Diana : I don't know yet. I think she will still be at her current post until a few more months because Mr. Anwar needs her much. She is always very busy with her works every day.
Yulia : You mean she always gets an extra works?
Diana : I dont say that she gets an extra work, but Mr.
Anwar asked Santy to help him prepare the budget for
next year.
Yulia : What your replacement's name? I
haven't met her yet.
Diana : Her name is Angela.
Yulia : Do you always check all her work?
Diana : Yes, I do. Mr. Anwar asked me to do that because he doesn't want my replacement to make mistakes in handling her owrk.
Yulia : Does she like working here?
Diana : Yes, I can see that she likes working here.
