Assalamu’alaikum wr wb.
Dengan memanjatkan puji dan syukur ke hadirat Allah SWT, saya menyambut gembira atas terbitnya publikasi Banjarmasin Dalam Angka 2014. Publikasi ini disusun setiap tahun atas kerjasama BAPPEDA Kota Banjarmasin dengan Badan Pusat Statistik Kota Banjarmasin.
Publikasi ini menyajikan data-data sekunder yang diperoleh dari berbagai sumber, terutama SKPD (Satuan Kerja Perangkat Daerah) Pemerintah Kota Banjarmasin. Pengumpulan dan pengolahan data dilakukan oleh Badan Pusat Statistik Kota Banjarmasin. Publikasi ini merupakan dokumentasi penting dari gerak langkah pembangunan Kota Banjarmasin sepanjang tahun 2013.
Pada kesempatan ini saya menyampaikan ucapan terima kasih dan penghargaan kepada segenap jajaran Badan Pusat Statistik Kota Banjarmasin dan BAPPEDA Kota Banjarmasin yang telah menyusun publikasi ini. Demikian pula kepada seluruh instansi Pemerintah maupun Swasta di lingkungan Pemerintah Kota Banjarmasin yang ikut berpartisipasi dalam penyediaan data yang diperlukan.
Data-data yang dibutuhkan oleh pengguna/pemerhati data semakin beragam. Oleh karena itu saya menghimbau kepada semua Pimpinan Instansi Pemerintah dan Swasta agar tetap menjalin kerjasama yang baik untuk menjamin ketersediaan data-data yang diperlukan.
Akhirnya, semoga penerbitan buku ini dapat mendatangkan manfaat bagi kita semua dalam merencanakan dan melaksanakan pembangunan.

Puji syukur ke hadirat Allah SWT kami sampaikan mengiringi terbitnya Publikasi Kota Banjarmasin Dalam Angka Tahun 2014. Publikasi ini diterbitkan secara rutin setiap tahun, dalam upaya memenuhi kebutuhan bagi konsumen data dan salah satu dokumentasi gerak pembangunan Kota Banjarmasin. Publikasi ini merupakan rangkuman program pembangunan dan hasil-hasilnya yang dilaksanakan baik oleh Pemerintah Daerah, maupun pihak swasta selama tahun 2013 dan diterbitkan pada tahun 2014. Data-data yang disajikan dalam publikasi ini dibuat dalam bentuk angka dan tabulasi serta sedikit narasi. Data-data dalam publikasi ini dapat digunakan sebagai bahan monitoring dan evaluasi, perencanaan dan penentuan prioritas dalam upaya melaksanakan pembangunan pada masa mendatang.
Penyusunan publikasi Banjarmasin Dalam Angka ini dimulai dengan kegiatan pengumpulan data, pengolahan, sampai penyajian dalam bentuk publikasi. Dalam tiap tahap rangkaian kegiatan telah diupayakan kelengkapan dan kesempurnaannya, namun masih terasa belum dapat memenuhi kebutuhan seluruh konsumen data, terutama dari segi waktu penerbitan publikasi ini. Time lag yang cukup panjang tersebut terkait erat dengan ketersediaan data, validasi dan sinkronisasi dalam pengolahannya. Oleh karena itu kami mengharapkan saran dan kritik yang konstruktif dari berbagai pihak untuk perbaikan dan penyempurnaan publikasi ini di masa mendatang.
Publikasi ini diterbitkan atas kerjasama Badan Pusat Statistik Kota Banjarmasin dengan BAPPEDA Kota Banjarmasin. Atas dukungan Dinas/Instansi pemerintah serta swasta yang ada di wilayah Kota Banjarmasin, kami ucapkan banyak terima kasih.

1.1. Letak Wilayah 1.1. Position
Kota Banjarmasin secara geografis
terletak antara 3° ’ ’’ sa pai
dengan 3° ’ ’’ li ta g selata da
114° ’ ’’ sa pai de ga
114° 9’ ’’ bujur ti ur. Berada pada
ketinggian rata-rata 0,16 m di bawah
permukaan laut dengan kondisi
daerah berpaya-paya dan relatif
datar. Pada waktu air pasang hampir
seluruh wilayah digenangi air.
Banjarmasin city is geographically
located between 3°16'46'' to
3°22'54'' south latitude and
114°31'40'' to 114°39'55'' east
longitude. Located at an average
altitude of 0,16 m below the sea
surface with swampy-marshy
conditions areas and relatively flat.

selatan Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan,
berbatasan dengan :
Di sebelah utara dengan Kabupaten Barito Kuala.
Di sebelah timur dengan Kabupaten Banjar.

Banjarmasin City is located on

Province by boundaries of:
- Northern side by Barito Kuala Regency.
- Eastern side by Banjar Regency.

Sesuai dengan kondisinya Kota
Banjarmasin mempunyai banyak anak
sungai yang dimanfaatkan oleh
masyarakat sebagai sarana
transportasi selain dari jalan darat
yang sudah ada. Selain itu sebagian
masyarakat masih memanfaatkan
sungai untuk kegiatan MCK
sehari-hari.

rawa-rawa tergenang air , di samping
pengaruh musim hujan dan musim
kemarau sehingga iklimnya bersifat
tropis. Curah hujan rata-rata 189,35

hujan 14 hari pada tahun 2012.

Kota Banjarmasin terletak dekat
muara Sungai Barito dan dibelah dua
oleh Sungai Martapura. Sehingga
seolah olah Kota Banjarmasin menjadi
2 bagian. Kemiringan tanah antara
0.13% dengan susunan geologi
terutama bagian bawahnya
didominasi oleh lempung dengan
sisipan pasir halus dan endapan
aluvium yang terdiri dari lempung
hitam keabuan dan lunak.
Banjarmasin City is located near
River of Barito estuary, and split into
two parts by River of Martapura.
The topography is about 0.13%,
lower land structure is dominated by
clay with refine sand, and alluvial
sediment consists of soft dark and
gray clay.

Banjarmasin terdiri atas 5 Kecamatan,
yaitu Banjarmasin Selatan,
Banjarmasin Timur, Banjarmasin
Barat, Banjarmasin Tengah,
Banjarmasin Utara.
