kesempatan untuk berbicara tentang pekerjaan di hotel Bapak.

Bu Lina, bisa cerita sedikit tentang diri Anda?

Lina

Oke, Pak. Saya lahir dan besar di kota Solo. Saya anak bungsu. Ada tiga kakak – dua laki-laki

dan seorang perempuan. Pada tahun 2012, saya lulus S2 dari Universitas Gadjah Mada. Kuliah

saya termasuk manajemen, bisnis, dan perhotelan. Sebenarnya, saya lulus nomor satu dalam

kelas.

Suriadi

Wah, bagus! Mengapa Bu Lina mau bekerja di hotel ini?

Lina

Hotel ini hotel terbaik di kota Yogyakarta. Fasilitasnya lengkap dan layanannya kelas pertama.

Bahkan, hotel Bapak sudah mendapat reputasi yang sangat bagus dan semua tamu yang

menginap di sini ingin kembali ke sini lagi. Saya mau bekerja di sini karena saya juga senang

mengurus tamu, baik yang asing maupun yang lokal.

Suriadi

Saya sedang mencari orang yang bisa menguasai bahasa asing dan sudah ada pengalaman

bekerja di hotel.

Lina

Saya bisa berbahasa Inggris, Perancis dan Jerman. Juga bahasa Jawa dan Bahasa Indonesia

dengan baik dan benar. Walaupun saya belum berpengalaman bekerja di hotel, saya sudah

melakukan praktik kerja di beberapa restoran dan hotel kecil.

Suriadi

Terima kasih. Datanglah ke hotel ini besok pada jam sebelas siang untuk mengikuti program

praktik kerja. Ibu ada pertanyaan?

Silahkan bermalas-malas saja sementara kami mendiskusikan film Indonesia baru minggu ini.

Dwi

Nah, minggu ini kami berbicara tentang film berjudul Tanahku. Filmnya adalah film animasi

musikal yang dibuat di Indonesia. Tema-tema film tersebut termasuk kelestarian lingkungan,

keluarga, kehidupan pedesaan dan gotong-royong. Bagaimana pendapat mas Fik tentang Tanahku

itu?

Fikri

Mbak Dwi, saya berpendapat film tersebut membosankan dan kurang realistis. Filmnya terlalu

panjang – waktu yang hilang. Nah, siapa yang pernah dengar tentang binatang liar yang bisa

berbicara?! Gila!

Dwi

(Laughs) Pendapatmu gaya cowok sekali, mas Fik. Tafsiran saya film Tanahku indah, lucu dan

fokusnya tentang isu-isu yang sangat penting. Yaitu, peduli pada lingkungan dan melestarikan

aspek kebudayaan tradisional Indonesia khususnya di desa-desa yang di tepi hutan dan di daerah

pedalaman Indonesia.

Fikri

Betul, betul, mbak. Tapi saya berpikir bahwa musiknya melankolis, begitu melankolisnya

sehingga saya tertidur!

Dwi

Ohhhh, benar, mas Fik? Lucu sekali!

Fikri

Memang begitu, mbak Dwi! Juga gaya musiknya seperti dangdut. (Laugh)

Dwi

Iiiiyyyaaa, mas. Kenapa gaya dangdut? Karennnnnaaaa, tema film ini tentang peduli pada

kebudayaan dan lingkungan khas Indonesia. Apa saja yang lebih gaya Indonesia daripada musik

dangdut, eh?! (Laugh)

Fikri

Eh, mbak Dwi, mungkin kita harus setuju untuk tidak setuju... Berapa bintang, mbak Dwi?

Dwi

Empat setengah, mas. Dan mas Fikri?

Fikri

Ohhh, dua setengah saja. Makin banyak mbak Dwi berbicara makin saya percaya film ini cukup

baik.

Dwi

Bagusss, mas Fik! Mungkin Mas Fik harus menonton film ini sekali lagi untuk lebih

menghargainya.

Fikri

Hai Andri,

Apa kabar? Aku baik-baik saja. Bagaimana keluargamu?

Aku menulis untuk memberitahu kamu bahwa aku menang kompetisi puisi yang diadakan di

perpustakaan di desaku. Apakah kamu ingat emailku dulu waktu aku cerita ada perpustakaan yang

dibangun oleh organisasi sukarela?

Makin lama makin banyak anak sekolah di desa yang meminjam buku di perpustakaan ini. Tujuan

perpustakaan setempat, untuk meningkatkan ketrampilan membaca dan menulis anak-anak sekolah

di desa tersebut.

Minggu yang lalu ada penulis puisi yang mengadakan kelompok baca puisi di perpustakaan

baru itu. Penulis itu mengumumkan kompetisi puisi akan diadakan di desaku. Dari sanalah aku

terinspirasi untuk menulis puisi sendiri dan mendaftarkan puisi itu dalam kompetisi tersebut.

Judul puisiku ‘Impianku’. Aku mengalami kesulitan menulis puisi karena bahasaku kurang baik

dan buat aku, sulit untuk menulis dengan baik.

Aku harus membaca puisiku di perpustakaan di depan semua penduduk desa. Aku sedikit

gelisah dan khawatir aku akan membuat kesalahan. Setelah pembacaan puisinya, pemenangnya

diumumkan. Aku senang dan bangga waktu namaku diumumkan sebagai pemenang.

Hadiahnya aku mendapat perjalanan gratis ke Ibu Kota Jakarta untuk mewakili desaku dalam

kompetisi puisi nasional. Puisiku akan diterbitkan dalam buku puisi wajib yang akan digunakan

murid-murid di sekolah dasar di seluruh Indonesia.

Mau membaca puisiku? Nanti aku kirim, ya.

Sampaikan salam kepada keluargamu. Aku tunggu balasan emailmu.

Apakah Anda ingat bertahun-tahun yang lalu waktu Anda berjalan di kota Yogyakarta untuk

mencari angkringan favorit Anda? Apakah Anda ingat waktu teman-teman Anda selalu bergaul di

angkringan, makan makanan Indonesia yang harganya murah dan lezat? Apakah Anda ingat waktu

Anda omong-omong dengan orang lain di angkringan sampai jauh malam? Ada kemungkinan

angkringan akan menjadi ingatan masa lalu.

Dewasa ini kalau Anda berjalan kaki di Yogyakarta hampir semua angkringan kosong. Angkringan

tidak lagi dihargai remaja Indonesia. Ini menyedihkan. Remaja-remaja lebih suka membelanjakan

uangnya dengan temannya di mal atau warung kopi. Menurut mereka, lebih bergengsi kalau

mereka dilihat di tempat yang mewah.

Di warung kopi di mal Malioboro beberapa remaja diwawancarai untuk menjelaskan alasan

mengapa mereka tidak lagi tertarik untuk bertemu di angkringan.

Rudi, berusia 19 tahun berkata, ‘Saya senang makan di mal karena ada beberapa pilihan, baik

masakan Indonesia maupun masakan internasional’. Temannya, Sri, menambahkan, ‘Suasana

lebih enak, kursi dan meja besar dan bersih. Dan juga kami tidak harus menghirup asap knalpot

kendaraan waktu makan atau minum’. Seorang remaja lain mengatakan bahwa, ‘Saya suka minum

kopi sambil menggunakan fasilitas jaring sosial. Kalau di angkringan tidak ada hubungan internet

nirkabel’.

Namun, orang yang lebih tua berpendapat berbeda. Di angkringan yang dekat Jalan Malioboro

mereka sedang merokok, bermain catur, sementara orang lain makan dan bercakap-cakap. Menurut

pikirannya, mereka makan di angkringan supaya dapat bertemu dengan teman-teman, beristirahat

dan makan di suasana yang kurang ramai dengan harga makanan yang murah sekali. Mereka tidak

suka membuang uangnya di warung kopi atau tempat makanan yang mahal.

Walaupun jumlah angkringan berkurang, semoga fasilitas yang ikonik ini tidak akan hilang dari

jalan-jalan kota Yogyakarta.

Mengecewakan sekali!!!

– Jalan masuk utama berliku-liku, menanjak dan sempit untuk dilalui kendaraan dari arah

berlawanan. Berbahaya kalau hujan. Banyak penjual wortel di sepanjang jalan masuk,

mobil-mobil tidak seharusnya sembarangan berhenti. Bikin macet panjang!

– Ada tanda peraturan jelas-jelas tertulis ‘Dilarang Memberi Makan Binatang’ tetapi masih saja

banyak mobil sengaja berhenti dan membuka kaca jendelanya. Kalau berhentinya sebentar

saja tidak ada masalah — ada yang sampai 20 menit! Jadinya antrian di belakangnya

terpaksa

menunggu. Padahal kami ingin segera melihat ke anjungan binatang berikutnya. Perlu

ditertibkan ini Pak!

– Toilet bau, gelap, tisu habis, grendel pintu ada yang raib.

– Banyak anak kecil mengerubungi, mengikuti kami kemana-mana buat minta sumbangan padahal

sudah ditolak keras. Keleluasaan memilih-milih tanda mata jadi terganggu.
