melambangkan kekuatan dan kebesaran yaitu Kota Batu berada pada lereng Gunung Panderman, gunung Arjuno, dan Gunung Welirang yang memiliki kekayaan alam yang cukup besar terutama mata air yang menyatu menjadi sungai brantas, serta keanekaragaman flora dan fauna sehingga menjadi daya tarik wisata.

Berwarna keemasan dengan posisi tegak yang melambangkan jiwa ksatria, kekuatan, ketajaman pikir, batin dan perjuangan yang pantang menyerah serta kepribadian yang berbudaya untuk mencapai Kota Batu kedepan.

Warna hitam yang melambangkan Persatuan dan Kesatuan dalam Negara Republik Indonesia. Rantai berjumlah tiga diartikan bahwa hubungan antara Manusia dengan Tuhan serta alam dan sesamanya adalah unsur yang tidak terpisahkan.

Melambangkan sistem pemerintahan Kota Batu yang tertib, rapi, dan teratur. Warna Dasar Hijau Dengan gambar filosofi petak-petak sawah melambangkan Kota batu adalah daerah Agraris, mengandung arti filosofi "Gemah Ripah Loh Jinawi" (Daerah subur) dan sebagian besar masyarakatnya bertani.

Condro Sengkolo 1934 adalah Tahun Jawa yang merupakan peresmian Pemerintah Kota Batu dengan nilai kata : Hakaryo = 4, Guno = 3, Mamayu = 9, Bawono = 1 berjumlah 17, sebgai tanggal peresmian Kota Batu, dengan jumlah suku kata 11 bermakna dasar Hukum peresmian Kota Batu diatur dalam UUN 11 Th 2001.

Assalamu’alaikum Warohmatullohi Wabarokatuh
Saya panjatkan puji syukur kehadirat Tuhan Yang Maha Esa, atas limpahan rahmat dan ridho-Nya telah tersusun Kota Batu Dalam Angka 2014.
Dalam era reformasi, data statistik merupakan sesuatu yang sangat penting. Dengan data yang pengumpulannya didasari oleh konsep dan definisi yang baik, berbagai pihak dapat berkomunikasi dalam persepsi yang sama. Mengingat hal ini, saya menyambut gembira usaha penerbitan buku Kota Batu Dalam Angka 2014.
Buku ini bukan saja berguna bagi perencanaan pembangunan di instansi pemerintah, namun juga dapat digunakan oleh semua pihak yang memerlukan, seperti peneliti dan mahasiswa. Mengingat kesinambungan penyajian data semacam ini dari tahun ke tahun perlu dijaga, saya sangat menghimbau kepada semua pihak untuk membantu penyusunan buku publikasi ini.

I Would like to thank the God for his mercy and bless that the book entitlas BATU CITY IN FIGURES 2014 could be published.
In the information era, statistical data are very important matters. Using data, which are compiled based on a good concept and definition, anyone will be to cummunicate in the same perception. Thus, I warmly welcome this publication.
This book is not only usefull for the planner in the government institution, but also useful for anyone who need, for example researchers and students. We need to keep this book published sustainable for the year as a serial publication. I strongly recommend to any institutions to support the central board of statistics of Batu in order to publish the book.

KATA PENGANTAR
“ Batu Dalam Angka Tahun 2014 ” merupakan lanjutan dari buku semacam ini tahun sebelumnya dan merupakan penerbitan yang menyajikan data dari berbagai aspek ekonomi dan sosial di Kota Batu.
Tabel-tabel yang disajikan bersumber dari kegiatan rutin seperti survei dan sensus dan dilengkapi dengan data sekunder produk administrasi yang bersumber dari berbagai instansi pemerintah dan swasta yang kegiatan atau lokasinya ada di Kota Batu.
Kami berharap data yang tersaji dapat digunakan tidak saja untuk melengkapi kebutuhan informasi dasar tetapi juga sebagai bahan untuk lebih memantapkan perencanaan dan evaluasi pembangunan di Kota Batu. Kritik dan saran dari berbagai pihak guna meningkatkan mutu publikasi ini sangat dihargai.

“The Batu in Figure 2014” is continuation of the previous year publication. It provide various data concerning social and economic aspects in the Batu City.
The source of data basically compiled from routine activities, such as surveys and cencusses, and in addition to that, administrative products as secondary data are also supplement by the public and private institutions in Batu city.
We hope that data could be used to fulfill the tu city development planning and evaluation steadier. However because of time and supplemented data we added to this publication so we think this publication is poor. Therefore we would like to put forward our highest appreciation to any parties for their help to bring this publication into existence. The release of this books has been made possible, due to the assistance and contributions of varios government instutions and private organizations. Luas kawasan Kota Batu secara

Km² terbagi ke dalam 3 kecamatan

kecamatan
lainnya.
Kota Batu terletak pada

I.1 Geographical Location
The town of Batu is located

Pasuruan

In the East: Malang Regency
In the South: Blitar Regency

Batu City occupies a space of
199.09 Km² divided into 3 districts
and Bumiaji is the largest district
area between others district. Batu
City is located in 862 metres above
sea level. Seen by its rate altitude,
most of Batu City area are hills.

Seperti halnya daerah lain di
Indonesia, Kota Batu mengikuti
perubahan putaran 2 iklim, musim
hujan dan musim kemarau. Pada
tahun 2013, hujan hampir terjadi
di setiap bulan, kecuali bulan
September. Rata-rata curah hujan
pada tahun 2013 yang tercatat
pada pengamatan yang dilakukan
oleh
Badan
Meterologi
Klimatologi dan Geofisika Stasiun
Klimatologi Karangploso mencapai
rata-rata
193,89
mm/bulan
dengan
jumlah
hari
hujan
sebanyak 165 hari . Dan rata-rata
kelembaban udara tertinggi terjadi
pada
bulan
Desember
yaitu
sebesar 86 persen.
Kondisi topografi Kota Batu yang
sebagian besar pegunungan dan
perbukitan menjadikan Kota Batu
terkenal sebagai daerah dingin.
Rata-rata suhu udara selama
tahun 2013 adalah 23,5 derajat
celcius dengan suhu terendah
terjadi pada bulan Agustus yaitu
sebesar 17,5 derajat celcius.

season. In 2013, rain occurred in
every month except September .
The average rainfall in 2013, as

193.89 mm/month, with an
number of rainy days of 165 days.
And the highest average humidity
happened in December, was about
86 percent.
Topography condition of Batu City
which is mostly hills, has made
Batu City become popular as a cold
region. Average temperature in
2013 is 23.5 degrees celcius with
the lowest temperature happened
in August, was about 17.5 degrees
celcius.
