Summary
RSPO CERTIFICATION IN HAND
Jakarta, 29 Jul 2011 – PT Sampoerna Agro Tbk. “a poer a Agro" or the Co pa y released its unaudited financial and operational results for the period ending in 30 June 2011.
Another milestone was carved on 9 June 2011, the Company received its first certificate from
Rou dta le o “ustai a le Pal Oil RSPO for a company subsidiary in South Sumatra with approximately 5,330 ha under its operations and produced 21,000 tons of rude pal oil CPO . RSPO is a nonprofit association that unites stakeholders from various sectors of the palm oil industry. With total RSPO certification in mind, the Company is already working on several additional certifications for a number of its subsidiaries at the moment.
In the first half of 2011, fresh fruit bunch FFB output climbed 71% o er last year’s figure to 836,069 tons. The production spike occurred amidst a ilder eather i the Co pa y’s operati g areas. Between January till June 2011, rainfall in most of our CPO producing areas has subsided; Kalimantan by 56% year-on-year while Sumatra by 34%, versus the same period of 2010.
The Company managed to book revenue totalling Rp1,711.33 billion in the first semester of 2011, 130% escalation from Rp745.65 billion booked in the same period of 2010. CPO, as the main contributor to total revenue, at 82% of total, surged 124% to Rp1,408.69 billion. The increase was largely attributable to 77% higher sales volume and 26% higher in average selling price over the same period last year. At the close of 30 June 2011, Sampoerna Agro recorded earnings totalling Rp356.20 billion, surged 172% as opposed to the same period of 2010.
