Jakarta, July 27, 2010– PT Sampoerna Agro Tbk. "“a poe a Ag o" o the Co pa eleased its fi a ial and operational results for the period ending in June 30, 2010.
Although all of Sampoerna Agro plantation estates in Sumatra and Kalimantan regions continued to receive

managed to climb further over first quarter of 2010 by 61% and 41% respectively. In total, the Company produced 490,300 tons of FFB in both regions within the first semester of 2010, or 26% higher than first semester of 2009.
Oil E t a tio Rates OER ooked i fi st se este fell to 21.25% from 21.84% in first semester of

of 2010, or 22% higher than the same period of last year. Meanwhile, data released by Malaysian Palm Oil
Boa d MPOB i di ated that total CPO output i the whole of Mala sia withi the sa e ti e pe iod
climbed 1% over the previous year.
Market price of CPO recorded by MPOB during second quarter of 2010 averaged MYR2,530, or 1.5% lower than average price in first quarter of 2010 that amounted MYR2,569. In general, we share the same view with a number of industry experts that recently indicated CPO price in second half of this year could averaged higher than the first half. Main reasons given were the upcoming festivities and La Nina weather pattern.
On average, Sampoerna Agro managed to sell its CPO at about Rp6.52 million per ton during second quarter of 2010, or 0.4% lower than Rp6.54 million per ton booked in first quarter of 2010. CPO is the main revenue contributor to the Company that generated Rp630.03 billion in the first semester of 2010, or having contributed 84% to total company revenue. Approximately 97% of these revenue from CPO was generated by selling within domestic market.
The Company recorded revenue totalling Rp745.65 billion in the period ending June 2010, or 33% higher than the Rp559.91 billion recorded in the same period of 2009. This is mainly due to higher average selling price compounded with increased sales volume of its CPO.
Of late, acquisition process of the Sago business has been completed resulting in 91.85% direct ownership by Sampoerna Agro through one of its subsidiaries. Hence, Management has majority control over the estates and have therefore began extensive works in the field such as upkeeping, rehabilitation, and developing proper plantation masterplan that even includes potential sites for conservation projects. Currently, the Management is doing final preparations to start construction of a sago starch factory.
