Pasien pasca stroke seringkali dipulangkan dengan gejala sisa, salah satunya kelumpuhan sehingga dibutuhkan fungsi keluarga dalam proses perawatan agar kondisi pasien membaik. Oleh karena itu, pengetahuan dan sikap keluarga sangat berperan dalam proses perawatan pasien stroke terutama pemulihan fungsi motorik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan dan sikap keluarga tentang Range of Motion Exercises (ROM) pada pasien stroke di Ruang Saraf Kemuning Lantai 5 RSHS Bandung.
Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah keluarga pasien stroke yang mengalami gangguan gerak sebanyak 45 responden,diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling dan dianalisis menggunakan persentase untuk variabel pengetahuan dan skor T untuk variabel sikap.
Hasil penelitian menggambarkan pengetahuan keluarga tentang range of motion exercises dengan kategori kurang (86,7%) dan sisanya dalam kategori cukup (13,3%). Sedangkan untuk sikap keluarga dengan kategori tidak mendukung (53.3%) dan mendukung (46.7%) terhadap range of motion exercises.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan sebagian besar responden memiliki tingkat pengetahuan kurang dan sikap negatif. Oleh karena itu, diharapkan institusi pelayanan kesehatan di rumah sakit untuk terus menerus dalam memberikan pendidikan kesehatan kepada keluarga pasien stroke dan melakukan evaluasi pengetahuan keluarga mengenai pendidikan kesehatan yang telah diberikan.
vi ASBTRACT
Post-stroke patients were often discharged with residual symptoms, one of which was paralysis that required the family’s role in the care process so that the patient's condition improves. Therefore, knowledge and attitude of the family were very involved in the care of stroke patients, especially regarding the recovery of motor function. This study aims to describe the knowledge and attitudes of families on Range of Motion Exercises (ROM) in patients with stroke at Kemuning room 5th floor RSHS Bandung.
This research was a descriptive quantitative with purposive sampling to 45 sample from family of stroke patients who had movement disorder. The data was analyzed by percentages for the knowledge variable and T scores for attitude variable.
The results showed that 86.7% respondents were include in the category of lack of knowledge and 13.3% respondents were include in the category of fairly of knowledge. As for the attitude of the family with the category doesn’t support (53.3%) and support (46.7%) to the ROM.
The conclution was majority of respondents have less knowledge and negative attitudes. Therefore, health education should be given by hospital continously. After health education was given to families of patients, their knowledge should be evaluated.
