(Zhaffira Aliyah Afifa, 2021 : 59 pages)
This report discussed about designing storybook of Puyang Kemiri the origin of Empat Lawang folktale. The aim of this final report is to apply the steps for writing a folktale in terms of script. In this final report, the writer used Research and Development modified by Sukmadinata (2008: 176). The “Research and Development” includes 3 steps : (1) Preliminary Study: Literature Study, Field Survey which contains of interview, observation, and documentation, and Model Drafting, (2) Model Development consisted of Limited Testing and Wider Testing, and also (3) Final Product Testing. Based on the finding, the writer makes a story script of Puyang Kemiri folktale. The story script was written in English by using Final Draft as the software of writing the story. The story of Puyang Kemiri could be used as one of the media for the preservation of the origin Empat Lawang. In conclusion, the writer conducted the story script writing by using R&D method by Sukmadinata (2008: 176) linked to the five stage of writing a folktale by Tompkins (2010: 52): Pre-writing, Drafting, Revising, Editing, and Publishing. Due to lack of time, cost, and energy, the writer stopped the project until editing stage.
