ABSTRACT
Communication is a way for people to make interaction with others. One of usual tool used by the society is language. Language is known as code. By using language people can understand what their family want to say, what their friends talk about, etc. Indonesian mostly uses Indonesia language but sometimes people also use another language like English. The phenomena can be seen in education area. Many schools in Indonesia oblige their teachers to speak English at least basic English to teach the students. Some subjects like Math, History, and Science are often switch between Indonesia and English. Because of the importance of learning this writer focused in analyzing a class conversation done by lecturerto students which used code switching. The writer observed a class held in G7,
