ABSTRAK
Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang pengaruh waktu pengambilan sampel terhadap
kadar BOD, COD dan Minyak/Lemak dari air sungai Silau Kabupaten Asahan telah
diteliti. Sampel diambil dari titik sampling yang sama yaitu N: 02o 58’ 15,2” E: 099o
38’ 54,2” dengan menggunakan variasi waktu pada pukul 07.00 WIB, 10.00 WIB,
13.00 WIB, 16.00 WIB, 19.00 WIB dan dilakukan pengujian terhadap parameter
BOD, COD dan Minyak/Lemak. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan kadar BOD,
COD dan Minyak/Lemak tertinggi pada pukul 07.00 WIB dan terendah pada pukul
16.00 WIB. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kualitas air sungai Silau Kabupaten Asahan
lebih baik dipergunakan pada pukul 16.00 WIB.

THE EFFECT OF TIME SAMPLING OVER THE RATE OF BOD, COD AND OIL/FAT WATER CONTENT
OF SILAU RIVER KABUPATEN ASAHAN
ABSTRACT
It has done research on the effect of time sampling the rate of BOD, COD and oil/ fat in water content of Silau River Kabupaten Asahan. The sample was taken from the same sampling points N: 02o 58’ 15,2” E: 099o 38’ 54,2” by using time variation at 07.00 am, 10.00 am, 1 pm, 4 pm, 7 pm local time. There was done an examination about parameter of BOD, COD and oil/fat. The result of research showed that highest rate of BOD, COD and oil/ fat was at 7 am, and the lowest rate was noted at 4 pm local time. It is concluded that the quality of water in Silau River is precisely better yet to use at 4 pm.
