Abstrak
Televisi merupakan salah satu media massa yang berpengaruh terhadap masyarakat. Media televisi untuk sebuah organisasi/perusahaan memiliki salah satu tujuan untuk membangun citra positif yang diinginkan. Salah satu stasiun televisi swasta yang berkembang ditahun 2014 adalah Net TV. Net TV memiliki sebuah program reality show yang bernama “86”, program acara ini bekerja sama dengan POLRI untuk menayangkan kegiatan anggota polisi sehari-hari yang tegas dan disiplin namun tetap menampilkan sisi humanis. Peran media dan juga POLRI sangat diperlukan dalam upaya meningkatkan citra positif yang diinginkan di mata masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pandangan masyarakat Kota Salatiga mengenai citra positif yang dibangun polisi melalui program acara reality show “86” di Net TV. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode penelitian yang dipakai adalah wawancara kepada individu maupun kelompok yang berkaitan dengan penelitian serta observasi di Satlantas Kota Salatiga. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Satlantas Kota Salatiga sudah melakukan beberapa program seperti police goes to school, police goes to campus dan penyuluhan ke masyarakat yang terorganisir dan tidak terorganisir untuk mengedukasi masyarakat dan citra polisi melalui acara “86” menjadi positif dimata masyarakat Kota Salatiga.

Abstract
Television is one of the mass media that influences the community. For a company or an organization television media is used for building a positive image. One of the private television stations that developed in 2014 is Net TV. Net TV has a reality show program called "86"; this program cooperates with POLRI to show the daily activities of police officers who are firm and discipline but still showing the humanist side. The role of media and POLRI is needed as an effort to improve the desired positive image in the community perspective. The aim of this research is to know the perspective of the people in Salatiga City towards the positive image that police officers has built through the “86” program on Net TV. This is a descriptive qualitative research which used interview to individual or group related and observation at Satlantas Kota Salatiga. The result of this research indicates that Satlantas Kota Salatiga has done several programs such as police goes to school; police goes to campus and socializes the program to the organized and unorganized community to educate people. Moreover, through the “86” program, the image of police becomes positive in the perspective of the people in Salatiga.
