Great Drawing Book For Kids! Highly Recommended! By C. Hill
My son received a set of DRAW books as a gift when he was 8 and still uses them several times a month (he is now 12). We are fairly impressed with the results he is able to produce.
The book takes the most simplistic approach to drawing, braking the process down to three steps (basic shapes, detailing, "cleaning up"). Each image includes 4 - 10 illustrations and the corresponding instructions presented in an easy to understand format.
The "Tips" section is worth reading as well.
Highly recommended! You might also be interested in Draw Really Cool Stuff, which contains this book and 5 others.

This book was fabulous. My younger brothers and I spent hours drawing together and at one point- the entire family was sitting around the table drawing and just enjoying each others company. Great book and great for all ages. My brothers really liked the science facts and explanations that went along with the drawings. Next time I buy a drawing book it will be one by this author for sure!!! We also bought the 3D drawing and ocean animals by this author and have enjoyed them as well!
