Th is Loan Amendment No.6 and Grant Amendment No.4 are

entered into between the REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA

("Borrower"/"Grantee") and the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA , acting

through the AGENCY FOR INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT (11_A.I.D. 11

) .

WHEREAS , t h e Borrower/Grantee and A.I.D . entered into an

Upland Agriculture and Conservation Project Loan Agreement ,

designated as A.I.D. Loan No. 497-T-083, on July 30, 1984 , as

amended, (11_{Loan Agreement}11

) , and a Project Grant Ageement on Jul y

31, 1984 , as amended (11_{Grant Agreement " ), whereby A . I.D. agreed}

to lend to the Borrower/Grantee up to Thi rteen Mi lli on One

Hundred Fifty Thousand United States ("U.S. " ) Doll ars

( $13,150,000) (11_Loan11

) and t o grant to the Borrower/Grantee up to

Five Mi ll i on Uni ted States ("U.S. " ) Dollars ($5 , 000,000)

( "Grant") ; and

WHEREAS, the Borrower/Grantee and A.I.D. desire to amend the

Loan and Grant Agreements to reduce A.I.D. 's prior yea r loan a nd

grant financing commi tme n ts for the project s u bstituting t h erefor

current year grant financing required to meet the remaining costs

of the project ;

NOW , THERE FORE, the Borrower / Grantee and A. I .D. hereby agree

2. Section 3.1 of the Grant Agreement is revised by

changing the words and figures "Five Million United States

Dollars ($5,000,000) ("Grant")" to read "Four Million Seven

Hundred Forty One Thousand Two Hundred Thirty Six United States

("U.S.") Dollars (US$4,741,236) ("Grant")".

3. Section 3.1 of the Grant Agreement is further revised by

changing the words and figures "Four Million Seven Hundred Forty

One Thousand Two Hundred Thirty Six United States ("U.S.")

Dollars (US$4,741,236) ("Grant") 11 _{to read "Six Million One}

Hundred Thirty Thousand Nine Hundred Twenty United States

("U.S." ) Dollars (US$6,130,920) ("Grant")".

4. Attachment 1 to Annex 1, Financial Plan, in both the

Loan Agreement and Grant Agreement is deleted in its entirety,

substituting therefor in each agreement the revised Financial

Plan attached to this amendment.

Except as amended herein, the Loan and Grant Agreements are

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Republic of Indonesia and the United

States of America, each acting through its duly authorized

representative, have caused this Loan Amendment No . 6 and Grant

Amendment No.4 to be signed in their names and delivered as of

the day and year first above written.
