Abstrak

KEVIN EFRIANDHANI: Respons Pertumbuhan Bibit Kelapa Sawit (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) Pada Berbagai Komposisi Media Tanam dan Pemberian Limbah Cair Pabrik Kelapa Sawit di Main Nursery, dibimbing oleh T. IRMANSYAH dan CHAIRANI HANUM. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari respons pertumbuhan bibit kelapa sawit pada berbagai komposisi media tanam dan pemberian beberapa dosis LCPKS di main nursery. Penelitian ini dilakukan di lahan percobaan Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Sumatera Utara, Medan (32 m dpl) pada bulan Januari sampai Mei 2017. Metode percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial dengan 2 faktor dan 3 ulangan, faktor pertama adalah komposisi media tanam (M0 : Top Soil , M1 : Top soil + TKKS ( 1 : 1 ), M2 : Top soil + TKKS ( 1 : 1 ), M3 : Top soil + Serabut (Serat) ( 1 : 1 ), M4 : Top soil + TKKS +Sludge + Serabut (Serat) ( 1 : 1 : 1 : 1 ) dan faktor kedua adalah limbah cair pabrik kelapa sawit (0, 1,5, 3 l/bibit). Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan sidik ragam dan dilanjutkan dengan uji jarak berganda Duncan. Parameter yang diamati adalah tinggi bibit, jumlah daun, diameter batang, Volume akar, total luas daun, bobot segar tajuk, bobot segar akar, bobot kering tajuk dan bobot kering akar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan pemberian LCPKS hingga dosis L2 berpengaruh nyata meningkatkan parameter yaitu diameter batang, bobot basah tajuk dan bobot kering tajuk.. Perlakuan komposisi media tanam berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter diameter batang, volume akar, berat basah akar, berat basah tajuk dan berat kering tajuk. Interaksi antara kedua perlakuan berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap semua parameter.

KEVIN EFRIANDHANI: Growth Respons of Oil palm (Elaeis guineensis jacq.) Seedling to Composition Planting Media and Application of Palm Oil Mill Effluent and in Main Nursery, Supervised by T. IRMANSYAH AND CHAIRANI HANUM. The objectives of the research were to study Growth Respons of Oil palm (Elaeis guineensis jacq.)Seedling to Composition Planting Media and Application of Oil palm Mill Effluent and in Main Nursery. The research was held at experimental field of Agricultural Faculty USU (± 32 m asl) in January to May 2017 using a factorial randomized block design with two factors and three replications. The first factor were Composition Planting Media (top soil, top soil + Empty Oil palm Fruit Bunches (EPOFB) (1:1), top soil + sludge (1:1) topsoil + fiber (1:1), and top soil + Empty Oil palm Fruit Bunches (EPOFB) + sludge + Fiber (1:1:1:1) and the second factor were POME (0; 1,5; 3,0; 4,5 l/seedling). Data were analyzed with ANOVA and continued with Duncan multiple range test. The Parameters observed were plant height, leaves number, stem diameter, root volume, total leaf area, fresh and dry root and upper part weight.The results obtain were the effect of POME until dose L2 (3,0 l/seedling) were significantly increase for parameters. Stem diameter, fresh crown weight and dry crown weight. The effect of Composite Planting Media significant for parameters. Stem diameter, root volume, fresh root weigth, fresh crown weight and dry ceown weigth. The interaction of composite planting media and POME not significant for all parameters.
