ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi model siklus belajar terhadap peningkatkan penguasaan konsep dan sikap ilmiah siswa SMP tentang ekosistem. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode weak experiment dengan desain one group
pretest-posttest. Penelitian dilaksanakan di salah satu SMP Negeri Kota Bengkulu kelas
VII tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Data diperoleh dari instrument lembar observasi implementasi siklus belajar, soal penguasaan konsep, dan angket sikap ilmiah siswa. Data dianalisis menggunakan SPSS for Windows 16.0 untuk melihat normalitas, homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis. Soal penguasaan konsep yang diukur meliputi jenjang taksonomi Bloom meliputi pengetahuan, pemahaman, penerapan, dan analisis. Indikator sikap ilmiah yang diukur ada enam yaitu rasa ingin tahu, mengutamakan bukti, bersikap skeptis, menerima perbedaan, mampu bekerjasama, dan bersikap positif terhadap kegagalan. Implementasi model siklus belajar dengan kategori hampir seluruh kegiatan terlaksana. Rerata N-Gain penguasan konsep 0.40 yang termasuk kategori sedang. Rata-rata persentase sikap ilmiah siswa 75.3 % yang bernilai positif. Hubungan korelasi antara penguasaan konsep dan sikap ilmiah siswa adalah 0,171 yang menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang sangat lemah dan positif. Disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan penguasaan konsep dan sikap ilmiah siswa kelas VII setelah implementasi model siklus belajar pada materi ekosistem diterapkan.

THE IMPLEMENTATION OF LEARNING CYCLE MODEL TO INCREASE CONCEPT MASTERY AND SCIENTIFIC ATTITUDE THE JUNIOR HIGT
STUDENTS ON ECOSYSTEM
ABSTRACT
This study aimed to
analyze
the implementation of learning cycle model on the learning material about ecosystem in order to increase the junior higt students concept mastery and scientific attitude. This study used weak experimental method with one group pretest-posttest. This study was conducted in one of SMPN Kota Bengkulu involving the students at class VII in academic year of 2014/2015. Data were gathered through learning cycle implementation observation protocols, test on concept mastery, and questionnaire about the students scientific attitude. Data were analyzed using SPSS for windows 16.0 to see the normality, homogeneity, hipotesis, and to calculate the percentage of attitude scale. The test concept mastery used taxonomy Bloom’s cognitive level consisting knowledge, comprehension, application, and analysis. Scientific attitude indicators that were measured consists of six components, they are curiosity, evident priority, skeptic, respect differences, able to work in group, and positive towards failure. The implementation the activities in the learning cyclemodel is categorized almost fulfilled. The result shous that on average, students N-Gain on concept mastery is 0.40, which is categorized moderate, while the students scientific attitude is 75.3 %, which is categorized positive. Correlation between concept mastery and scientific attitude of students is 0,171 a very weak correlation and positive. It can be concluded that there is improvement on the students concept mastery and scientific attitude after the implementation of learning cycle method.
